Konnichiwa you uncultured potato!

It means "Hi" in Japanese!

Why bother speaking a language in pieces just to look cultured?

wanna see something impressive?

vir prudens non contra ventum mingit

(lat. Translation: "A wise man does not urinate up against the wind")

doing half-arsing languages is just pretentious if you blame others to be uncultered.

Konnichiwa means "Hello", not "Hi", it's the standard formal term for strangers and acquaintances, it's also used on friends, but it's still pretty "formal"

Hi would actually be "Doumo", which is very informal and if used, only to your closest friends.

The funny thing is "Doumo" can also be used a short term for thank you, and is usually translated as "very" (ex: doumo arigatou), but its usage is more wide and pretty flexible, nonetheless, as you can see your translation is wrong :).

and welcome tenno happy hunting
