Why Is The Tigris An Anti-Infested Weapon?

I'm confused, I'll run over some Key points.

First off, the Infested, the only relevant Trait.

- They are a SWARM

Tigris:

- Small magazine

- Tight spread

- Low pellet count

- Long reload time relative to Mag size

- Strong against Infested

None of this makes sense whatsoever.

It's not anti-infested, slash damage works on the health of almost every enemy type in the game.

Want it to be anti-Grineer? just add corrosive damage. Corpus? Magnetic.

But it's natural Strengths make it an Anti infested weapon.

I just want to know why they gave it a Damage type that is strong against a faction this weapon is Clearly not meant for.

yes, but Infested aren't hiding behind heavy alloy armors or shields

Again, that is why you add corrosive/magnetic.

Natural strengths? The problems it has stated by op clearly say how it is bad against infested. And again, almost every Grinner and Corpus enemy have health that is weak to slash damage or at the very least not resistant to it. Because of this slash based weapons can be the most versatile weapons in the game because of elements from dmg 2.0.

Excuse me whilst I try and convince the Creepy Zombie swarm to line up for me.

:)

It should have 160 Puncture damage, 20 slash, the traits the weapon bares are not suited for the Faction that SWARMS.

Again, vicious spread.  Use it.

Actually, i will just leave this link here

Be amazed. It's more awesome than you want to admit.

I know it's Awesome, I absolutely adore it!

But it's incredibly confusing how such an unsuited weapon is designed for the Swarming faction.

And as stated above, put enough mods into anything and it'll be awesome.

Totally didn't watch the video did you?

While unmodded it does not work too well (and really what gun does?), once you actually put mods into it, it turns into a beast. It is fun to use, it does tons of damage, it is easy to use (thanks to vicious spread + seeking force).  It is capable of one shotting entire groups of infested, ancients included.

The infested swarming towards you works to its ADVANTAGE.

I'm still amused that people are stuck on the slash damage when it makes up something like 1/6 of the weapon's entire damage potential after mods (even less than that if you account for the damage boosts with the right elements).

Element-only weapons I can understand the complaints for, but this? Just mod it for the optimal element for each enemy, that's all you have to do. The fact that the base damage is heavy slash is largely irrelevant.

That being said, I wouldn't be against seeing yet another damage boost, at least until it can keep up with the burst damage of the Strun Wraith (yes, aiming high here, but let's be fair - even if it could match its burst it still wouldn't match its sustained damage).
