Proposed Changes To Heavy Caliber

Hi all, I am constantly disappointed by heavy calibre and its lack of usefulness (for me at least). So I wish to propose a change, changing the straight accuracy penalty to a continuous fire penalty. In simple terms, heavy calibre would no longer penalise the first shot, however the consecutive shots will be increasingly penalised up to a hard limit, reached at the 4th or 5th bullet.

This change would make more weapons usable at anything beyond pretty much point blank by tap or burst firing, which would significantly lower the firerate through the requirement of clicking - unless of course one has one hell of a trigger finger or an autotrigger, which just shows they don't really want to play the game properly anyway.

I understand that this could get very overpowered on snipers etc., but hey everyone always says that they need a buff (not overly experienced with them myself; I can't stand the scopes) and I think that this would be a perfect way to do so.

Please leave thoughts below, is this upgrade too much?

I'm not entirely impressed with heavy caliber myself. Especially since there's nothing to counter it (although even if there was, spending a slot to counter it would be pointless). The mod should just be called Panic with how it funtions :P.

My idea for the mod to keep it in line with it's name, and mechanics of weapons, is give it a unique recoil. This doesn't give the kick traditional recoil does, instead it randomly super kicks your aim in a random direction, within a limited radius. This way the gun gives you the punch, but is VERY hard to quickly do a follow up as readjusting would be made much harder by the randomness of the recoil. Would be hillarious on a soma though :P I just imagine looking at the model going nuts spraying everywhere's.
