Marelok Vs Tysis

So the Marelok gets released with stupidly high proc chance, yet it almost has the same attackspeed and since it's a grineer weapon = hitscane, yet it has 160dmg base while the tysis has 35?

 

yes the tysis is 25% faster (2.5! woah) and has slightly less reload time, but the dmg difference is enormous, seems like DE loves grineer :D

to maximize the dmg output you'll have to put in these 2 mods anyway

marelok has a procchance of 30% that's already extremly high

Looks like I'll be sticking with the Tysis--I use it specifically to proc Corrosive and Viral on high-level enemies, and I can't get both of those on the Marelok.

I guess since the weapon is intented as an anti-corpus weapon anyways because of it's high Impact damage it was never intended to be used against Grineer, but when slapping Radiation and Toxin/Viral (depending on what mods you got) on it will do even against mid level Grineer well, like the Grinlok oneshots nearly everything. Don't think of ever taking it with me against high level Grineer.

More importantly, Tysis can use both corrosive, radiation, and viral for the ultimate anti-grineer build.

Same goes for the stug and detron, they can get the 3 combos that turn Grineer to mincemeat :S

don't forget this is what's considered the sawnoff version of the Grinlok.
