Weapons Should Get An 'aura' Slot For Underused Utility Mods

There are WAY too many underutilized mods. Stuff like Ammo Drum/Reload Speed/Magazine Capacity, because when fighting high levels you're not going to skimp on damage mod slots for a reload speed mod even if your weapon really does need it (like the Supra)

So here's an idea: take all the underutilized mods, make them unique to a new mod slot that only accepts them and nothing else. This idea came from a post I saw on /r/warframe.

Stuff like: Ammo cap+, reload speed+, magazine capacity+, status proc+ (the crappy one) because they all have crappy base stats.

Mods that should not be considered: Ammo mutation, Corrupted utility mods, Nightmare mods (like those from events too) Puncture mods, rare mods mostly

What do you guys think?

IMO if you did that people will just try to fit in more element mods, and then all the cries of OP will start again. In an ideal game though the gun would level along with the player and we could do away with Serration etc. kind of mods.

Right now however I'm assuming most players have a full-damage loadout and have no room for these underused mods.

My ignis running ammo mutation disagrees :p

Good point. It's funny since ammo mutation mods practically render any and all ammo capacity mods close to useless.

Exactly, which is why I mentioned that in the OP

Nobody ever uses stuff like mag cap+ in an endgame build as far as I know

Or rather, take obsolete mods like Serration and Hornet Strike and give them a separate slot, to free up more slots for utility.

So you actually have a choice to mod your gun DIFFERENTLY from the 3 other Rhinos in your party this time.

So damaged multipliers are obsolete, interesting

Frames and weapons also need 2 additional slot and weapons would be better if added an aura type mod like on frames. This needs if they release more mods because hard to build already a good frame with this goldy builds because all are almost the same because other mods just not enough. The ammo mutation mods good ideas but they totally knocked out the ammo capacity and reloading mods because they are pretty useless nowadays. These mods needs a major buff at least each levelling given +10% and that's almost good enough to consider to use it if i want or not. The resistance mods are still useless because no one will lose a slot for these mods when others really needed and more effective than those. They should think about armor and the armor types and integrate those resistance mods into the armor. Then they can see their mods in use and maybe can the players specialise more their gears.

Yea man, that could be an alternative, +60% reload speed/magazine capacity isn't nothing to scoff at.
