unsiezer Posted March 31, 2014 Share Posted March 31, 2014 I know the Excalibur is a starting warframe and so it shouldnt be to strong, but I have to say all around Excalibur is my favorite warframe, but I feel Like I took a knife to a gun fight if I do endgame content(T3, and pluto, ceros, Neptune). Could we please get like a (seporate from founders exclusive) Excalibur prime, that is better then the regular Excalibur(not a extra polarity, but rather a stat buff), and more on par with the other warframes. cause if they gave Excalibur a few buff I would play him all the time. xShadowsaur Posted March 31, 2014 Share Posted March 31, 2014 I'm sorry Tenno, but getting a different version of the Excalibur won't be the answer. He needs to be fixed up a bit. I highly suggest a re-working of his ultimate which rapidly becomes useless for many reasons; the two main ones being the fact that it doesn't do as much damage against high levels as it should and it leaves me standing out in the middle of the open waiting for gunfire long enough to get downed. Seaverett Posted March 31, 2014 Share Posted March 31, 2014 (edited) Eh, I bring Excal to t3 survivals, void and the rest, he still holds up very well. But of course, my weapons also have a factor in that. I love how Excal is such a jack of all trades, you just gotta play it wisely whenever you're using him. Radial blind for days. Slash Dash and Super Jump for maximum mobility and the best placement. Radial javelin for clearing trash up. I'd love to have Excal Prime, but he is beyond achieving now. I regretted not buying founders but regret would hinder my enjoyment in the game, and life in general. You should make do with what you have, as I have. Once you leave the noob planets, you realize how useless Radial Javelin is and just start blinding everything and killing it with weapons. Edit: Honestly xcal is just boring. He doesn't underperform...he's just boring as hell since his other powers aren't even in the picture later on. You summed up everything what is wrong with this frame - it's a one trick pony, Radial blind spam which in itself is not much fun to use. He DOES under perform solely because he has only one ability that is useful in late levels. Spam blind ,spam blind ,spam blind. Yeah that is boring and that is why his skill sets should be revisited. He doesn't underperform at all...he's just reduced to 1 ability from 4. There's a major difference. If you can't understand that, I can't explain it to you. Thaumatos Posted March 31, 2014 Share Posted March 31, 2014 I wouldn't say it loses it's appeal at all, nor would I consider it a one trick pony. Specialising in something != one trick. You can still use Super Jump + Javelins to get some of the enemies hiding, combo with a Mag etc. I regularly run my Excal in T1-3 Survival, Defence, ODS/ODD and have a blast blinding everything and proving my team with support. On every frame I've ever played (Excal, Vauban, Frost, Nekros, Oberon, Rhino, Zephyr, Nyx, Trinity) I've specialised in a specific power, rarely have I gone past one ability (Nyx, Rhino) As an aside, i'm not to sure why everyone considers ODD to be a part of "end game" ... just run up the wall near one of the 4 pillars next to the crypod and blast the infested as they ball up.
