Hixlysss Posted April 2, 2014 Share Posted April 2, 2014 I sat down and thought about it after seeing the "Lotus Prime Confirmed!" Thread and figured "That would be an interesting Event." Think about it. An event were we get orokin upgrades for lotus, her 3D model could get some tweaks to it, and she could get some tweaks to her statements/voice. Less repetitive statements, no more stating the obvious, stuff like that. It would be an interesting event to be sure as well. Escorting the lotus, like the hijack mission, to a location where she gets a part to upgrade herself, do it enough times and keep her safe through out it. Kinda like a Hijack mixed with Mobile Defense/Defense/Survival. I'd enjoy it, and it would give the devs an excuse to explain why Lotus is kinda derpy at times. "There is fire, watch out." Well, gameplay wise it would be a combination of Hijack and some kinda defense mission. Hijack being the game type from what we just did in the last event. And add that with a mobile defense, where we have to go from point to point and defend the point, while defending it as it moves between them, or Defense, where we just get to a single point, defend, escort out. Or Survival, where we go, stay as long as needed, then leave. The primary idea is escort target to location(s), defend while there for X time, then escort out. If memory serves the "Upload me to the terminal" Is hacker lingo for uploading their interface into the system so they can remote access the system. Essentially uploading their window into it. Actually, you could be uploading Space Ninja TeamViewer to the computers so that she can do her thing. Also, I'd like to see this be a mix between Darvo and Lotus. We escort Lotus to different room areas in order for her to do her thing. Meanwhile, Darvo is leading us from his eye in the sky or whatnot and directing us and Lotus to the rooms. Meanwhile, the two of them are vying for control over the mission. One trying to take control over the other, offering some fantastically humorous moments. Also, I think as an added game mechanic, in order to keep Lotus alive, somebody has to stay near in order for their shields to be shared. Otherwise she takes DIRECT health damage. Hardmode would be that she CAN NOT be revived, but can be healed via Health Orbs (Absorbed by her supporting Tenno and given to her) or with abilities. Thing is, to answer your question, it's part April Fools and part not. Yeah, I made the reskin, but because the Lotus' ingame texture (yeah, that video feed is an actual 3d model, not some animated in-game video) is the same as Rhino Prime's texture - gray. The Lotus seen ingame is colored blue the same way we color our warframes. The background to her video feed is the same seen on the glass in the Void's Orokin Towers. Leaked lore makes her as old as the Tenno, existing during the Orokin era, and being the one who both told the Tenno to turn on the Orokin and told them to sleep until they were needed again to bring balance to the system. So, given that Rhino Prime, with his gray texture, is black in-game (dark gray texture explains why white on him isn't as bright as white on Excalibur Prime), I merely infer that the original look of the Lotus was either her current blue, or black like some of the Prime warframes.
