NikolaiLev Posted April 16, 2014 Share Posted April 16, 2014 They're extremely weak compared to the Deth Machine Rifle and especially the Sweeper, not to mention the extremely powerful Deconstructor (which is at least exclusive to Helios). With mediocre accuracy (especially the laser rifle) and a travel time that makes them tenuous to hit with, they're far behind other choices in terms of usefulness. They could use simple damage boosts. The Stinger is also a little weak, but at least has the advantage of innate toxin damage. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

However, innate blast damage is a silly idea and would trivialise warframe, as it would plant every npc hit on their arse, the small status chance and the ability to add blast through mods is ample, and I vote it stays that way. Paradoxbomb Posted April 16, 2014 Share Posted April 16, 2014 Either Wyrm's laser rifle should be on par with the Fusion Drone's laser repeater in terms of fire rate as well a damage boost, or they could scrap it entirely and give him some kind of EMP grenade launcher that deals low electrical damage but has a very high (maybe even guaranteed) chance to shock enemies caught in the blast. Personally I'd prefer the latter since Dethcube already has a superior single-target machine gun, and a low damage/high utility AoE weapon would better fit Wyrm's niche as a CC sentinel. Not sure about Shade's burst rifle though, part of me want's to say it's okay that it's not that good since he's not really a combat sentinel, but I think a boost to damage and projectile velocity are still in order. I like the idea of a sentinel nade launcher, but it could go on a new sentinel. Also, sentinel weapons are interchangeable; so they should all have their uses. This is a pretty good example of how bad sentinel weapon damage is right now. DPSframe is just another way to highlight how ridiculously far apart the DPS numbers are. I guess it could work on a new sentinel as well, it just seems redundant to have three single target auto-rifles, especially when one of them belongs to a Sentinel that's advertised a CC sentinel rather than a single-target, heavy DPS one. Unless it does something drastically different from the Deth Machine Rifle or Stinger it doesn't really offer anything outstanding, hence why I would prefer a completely new and more fitting weapon for him. Also you make a point about Shade's gun, at the very least they could up the damage and make it actually burst-fire; when I think of a burst-fire gun I think of "pewpewpew!!", not "........pew.........pew.........pew........." I never got why they had to be nerfed to oblivion some time ago.
