Braton Prime likes to argue this as its a corpus designed weapon.

 

They do these primes at their leisure, not to some lore based reasoning.

Actually, it can be assumed that all Tenno weapons have a direct lineage with Orokin ones. The Braton was an exception, but not so much when you consider that the game starts you out with it.

Tenno weapons are redesigns/Reverse engineered/modern equivalent with inferior components of Orokin weapons.  

Orokin weapons are the original designs with superior quality pieces. 

Paris is proof of this as it is stated as a 'Tenno-crafted' weapon. Yet has a prime variant.

Except the Paris, Orthos, and Ankyros, which all make explicit mention of being Tenno-crafted or Tenno-designed (in the case of the Ankyros) in their codex entries. Not to mention the the Boar Prime and Dakra Prime, which are referred to in their codex entries as "Tenno craftsmanship" and "Tenno forged", respectively.

 

Even if this was a problem, lore gets fiddled with all the time. There's nothing that says they can't later say "yeah this is a Tenno weapon, but it's based on an Orokin design". They've done that before.

 

Corpus version is an aftermarket cheap knockoff like every frame that isnt a Prime. there are very few Primeable weapons left as of right now. Only a few sidearms, no Primaries that I can think of. They got a nice amount of melee to work with

Not at all. The Sybaris, Tigris, Attica, Cernos, Soma, and Vectis, are all Tenno primaries which could be Primed. Secondaries inclue the Ballistica, Bolto, Akbolto, Furis (presumably), Afuris, Magnus, Akmagnus, Pyrana, Vasto, Akvasto, Aklex. Akstiletto, Hikou, and Kunai.

 

Now, whether or not any or all of these should be primed, that's another matter entirely. :)
