Monolake
Its a cosmetic change with minimal impact of the game (if any). These weapons feed of the most common drops(rifle and pistol clips) with 20 ammo. You never drop below 500 ammo on Penta even in 1hr ODD sitting on a high ledge. Carrier picks ammo from the dead nearby. You might drain 20 ammo and have to jump down between the waves now. That's about it. To those concerned about Angstrum: pistol mods are much stronger than rifles ones, +180% multishot alone is a huge deal (you fire 3 bullets for 1 ammo most of the time). Now you might have to think before firing full clip at a single enemy, that's about it. The weapon still remains stupidly overpowered with more DPS than Boltor Prime but in huge AOE. It kills so well you wont run out of ammo untill you start facing very high levels and all the old unpicked clips get removed by the game. Also there is Trick mag mod if you want to carry 90% more ammo. Now guess what, even with one less damage mod Angstrum still has DPS close to BRAKK. Except In AOE with no fall off. I don't know what was DEL designer smoking when he assigned numbers to this monstrosity. Torid simply needs a buff. It wasn't used by anyone even before this change. So it still wont be used by anyone. TLDR: these weapons kill groups so well and the ammo drops are common you will never have a problem. You are getting few clips in return for every single shot, unless you are ~1 hour in an endless mission. Edited August 9, 2014 by Monolake

StinkyPygmy
Pfft, I use the torid all the time. Needs a buff in terms of the size of the gas cloud but thats about it. Mod for it effectively and it starts to lose efficiency about the same time every other weapon does. I agree though, these changes aren't a big deal and there are multiple ways around them. Dedjal
So what you're saying is that they should instead make changes that you would actually notice? So Launchers should instead carry 1 round and maybe 1 extra round as ammo. Reloading 'em should take about 20 seconds? I am struggling to understand what your point was, OP. Is the planned changes meaningless and the launchers should just be left as their are or should they be affected more?
PeanutMonster
Torid needs at least 20 cloud stacks to make the DoT damage useful. Other than that, the nerf won't affect the guns that much. Edited August 9, 2014 by PeanutMonster
Ketec
you were always at 500 since 1 clip restored a lot more ammo. Now imagine a hard wave of infasted, you waste 10 grenades and only half of them died, - you cant run past the heavy leech and poison aura - to get that 1 ammo drop there may have been. ammo mutation etc will take up valuable aura and mod slots - which are needed for other important boosts already - and still are useless in the end - you lose too much utility/damage which in return makes you use more ammo, I don't want to be forced into using rapid fire, unoriginal and boring rifles since heavy weapons are just too nerfed. the ammo wasn't a problem - how often did u actually someone using heavy weapons. One out of every 10-15 matches?

Inez
So Warframe is supposed to be balanced against ODD? When ODD is the least balanced map there is? If they simply removed the pillars and other cheap ledges from the map, we wouldn't need to nerf explosive weapons, or nerf Vauban in the future.
