Because PC can get even 2-3 hotfixes the same day the uptade hits, and because we got updates weekly, while Sony has the whole Cert process.

 

Besides, people from PC crossplaying with people from PS4 would mean "foreign" currency income - right now you need to buy overpriced Plat on PS4 to buy things and trade. With crossplay it would be possible for players from PS4 to get plat from players from PC, which means less potential ka-ching for Sony.

Ok so hot-fixes would be delayed, and maybe not the same day. The disadvantages would be potentially game-breaking things will be in the game longer, on the other hand, more fixes could be made in the already increasing backlog of things to fix.

IMHo, Warframe needs to relax on the update frequency and make adjustments, sure the artists and designers can still go on to make concepts and assets, but the animators and coders need to fix a ton of things.

No but seriously. I think DE would have to develop that and then get the a-ok from both Microsoft/Sony.

LOL, that pic. Warthunder has cross play, so I still dont get what the exact reasons for why it does not exist for Warframe and also why it is talked about like some nigh impossible to achieve mythical dream.

 

Why does it matter anyway. Not like we don't have enough people playing on PC anyway.

The more the merrier.

Oh, yeah, Sony will certainly allow updates without cert and hotfixes 2 hours after update. Yeah, I see this happen.

Because delaying updates for an originally PC exclusive game for a console port isn't something people want to happen.

Yes.

 

Sharing of user created content is still cross platform interaction. Even if this case is not multiplayer, this could mean we should be able to trade across platforms if there was a unified Trading/Auction house.

WarThunder has PS4 PC cross play multiplayer. This article is another example of devs doing something that the Warframe community seems to have written off for the most part.

 

While I don't expect PS4 to play with Xbone owners, PC PS4, PC Xbone is possible.

You're saying this as if we can't have cross play purely because PC players don't want it to. It runs deeper than that.

First of all, the developers themselves have voiced that they have no intentions of delaying PC updates for any reason.

Second, cross play would mean trading with PC players who have discounts on platinum, which would mean a drop in sales on the PSN store, because the guys on PC got theirs for 25% of the price.

Third, founders and other exclusives. Sony doesn't want ANY content to appear on the PS4 that wasn't available to any of its players from the get go or bought from its store.

Well why the hell would we need that? What is so lacking on both PC and PS4 trading channels that you could justify implementing a feature that operates across multiple networks?

 

In fact it would likely lead to more problems than solutions, since (im willing to bet that) plat on PC comes considerably cheaper than it does on PS4.

Here comes the master race snobs, don't get me wrong not all PC players are snobs, but also going off that not all Xbox one and PS4 users are little kids, in theory PS4 and Xbox one could keep up with PC and people say it cant because PC does all the strain tests but this could all be done on test servers like world of tanks on PC does, the when you jump on the normal that could kept at the same update as PS4 and Xbox one.

Also why don't people see the benefit of cross play, less time finding games, meeting new people that want to enjoy the same as you and dont say well pc gamers have better aim because this game is co-op aimed so that wont matter, don't say that there trolls because there trolls on every platform, and could they even troll you loot is team based so what else, they purposely sit there and watch you get mad because they wont finish the mission, all you need is a vote to kick and there you go. 

One more thing not every one on xbox hates PC and/or PSN or vice versa so why not let the nice guys/girls mix on all platforms while we sit and laugh at all the fan boys/girls argue it out over something pointless, we all love gaming, and we all love Warframe so why can't we do it together?

Again, why go to all that trouble? Even if the PC version is basically the test version its not so bad to play on that id justify reverting a few weeks worth of updates.

Youre not living up to your username very well, unfortunately.

 

For one thing, PC is not as severely underpopulated as you seem to think. Yes, players gravitate to certain nodes, but thats because most of them dont need to go anywhere else.

 

Second, the primary argument against crossplay is plat being much cheaper on PC than it is on consoles, due to Sony and MS demanding thier share. They shant be amused if DE implements a way to circumvent them.

 

Third, there is no votekick. On PC, at least. I thought it wasnt on other platforms, though you imply its an option on XB1.

 

 

One more thing not every one on xbox hates PC and/or PSN or vice versa so why not let the nice guys/girls mix on all platforms while we sit and laugh at all the fan boys/girls argue it out over something pointless, we all love gaming, and we all love Warframe so why can't we do it together?

We will always need PC as a sort of test group for updates to come out first for. 

 

As far as XBONE and PS4 are concerned, they don't like each other and they don't share. Period. End of discussion. I doubt there will ever be a cross console game for them.

Microsoft doesn't want it to happen, maybe that could change in time since they have different outlooks on things now but its the same reason FFXIV was not available for xbox platforms, because they wanted there to be no boundaries of which platforms you can play with on the game.
