How To Get Forma's?

Someone told me I have to beat tower 3 missions but I'm the only one in my crew with a level 30 warframe so its just about impossible xD Am i able to play tower 1 missions instead or obtain them through anything else? If not maybe someone on here could help me? :3 thank your your time!!

You can also check out the void reward tables on the wiki for which missions have the highest chance to reward forma. T1 Exterminate and Mobile Defence have a 1 in 4 chance to reward a forma blueprint, for example. You can also run survivals for them but I find that to be very hit and miss. Sometime's you'll get three from a 20 minute run, then none from 60 minutes.

Edit: The information could be unreliable if DE has given the Xbone the same drops as the PS4 which is more than likely.

Tower Survivals any tier, get fair amount of Forma BPs at 5 min intervals.

It is not just t3 missions. T1 can get you what you need.

This is not entirely correct. T1 missions drop tables look less populated than they actually are because the given tables do not include keys, which tend to make up a large portion of Survival's drops.

 

Trust me, the rate of Forma on T1 is NOWHERE NEAR 1 in 4.

To be fair, T4 Defense seems to reward Forma blueprints fairly often although you only get one per run.  In terms of getting the most per run then T4 Survival seems to be the place to go.  Back before this last update, T2 Survival was one of the best places but now you pretty much need to run T3 or T4 Survival missions if you want to get more than one per run.

I don't think it's a simple 1/4 chance. After running 35 T1 Exterminates a few weeks ago, only one yielded a Forma BP.

 

My guess is that it's something like a 5% chance to reward a Forma BP, and something ridiculous for Boar Prime Stocks. Because I have loads of those now.

 

EDIT: Oh, yeah, I forgot about the keys.
