What Is A Better Pistol Mod? (Talking About The Vasto)

I am working on using up all the possible mod capacity on my Vasto, and I don't know which mod (for damage) is better, Impact, or puncture? Base stats are equal, so which should I increase for better effectiveness?

Puncture lasts longer in the end game. I recommend that.

Puncture for Grineer, and Impact for Corpus.

 

I would recommend elemental mods though, but not sure if you have enough mod capacity on you weapon to make the element combinations you'll need.

Between those two depends also in which faction you're going against. Impact would be better versus Corpus' shields, puncture against Grineer armor.

 

But! If you have the chance, put an elemental mod instead of a specific damage type, the deal more damage.
