Sabotage Missions

Some sabotage missions just feels kinda meh.

 

The ones I am referring to, is those ones when you need to destroy the mining machines.

Shooting/melee them feels awkward and wrong.

They are big machines and should not be possible to destroy with bullets/blade.

 

I would like to suggest instead, that you simply add some kind explosive.

Just like Mobile Defense when you spawn, you need to pick up the explosive at the beginning, (or they could simply just be added to your inventory) and then you need to attach them to the mining machine so they can detonate after x seconds. Or maybe even use some kind of remote trigger for them.

 

I don't think these explosives should interfere with primary weapons like mobile defense datamass does.

Like forcing you to use secondaries weapons.

Sabotage, spy, deception, and maybe mobile defense all fall in line as mission types that should really just be tangled up into a single, randomly strung together "strike" mission type.  Like, a player will get at least two of these in one run, starting off with maybe a deception objective and after completing that, it turns into a sabotage mission, or an exterminate.  "Okay, we got the $#!%, now kill everyone.  No witnesses."
