About The Steam Skins..

I wonder if and when DE will put the Steam skins (Phased and Rubedo-plated) as an obtainable thing in-game. Getting them from the trading card events was a minimal chance, and the prices from the marketplace are absurd. People don't even know the weapon stats, so how could they put up such a high price for these things..?

They will not be obtainable in-game as they are Steam exclusives.

Because of the rarity of the skins. Now phased vauban skins aren't worth a lot due to it being common, while phased Tigris skin is worth a lot due to it being very rare

Supply and demand. There will always be a target market for very rare items, in this case cosmetics.

The weapon skin prices are that high because for the higher tier steam skins there's only a handful available... at least I've only ever seen a couple up for sale.

The only ones I found absurd was the $50 Twin Vipers and $70+ primary.

Prices are both player and Rarity based. The two top prices while ridiculous are the two top tier rares skins that barely anyone got regardless.

The Prices at the market are absurd? Have you really looked at them?

 

There are only two skins that are pricy, but all the others are just under a $1. Take a look at the Rhino Rubedo skin. You can get one for $0.16!!!

And the high prices are due to the fact you have to spend money to get the Trading Cards and the have a chance to get something you want out of them. And well two of them have only been crafted little over 22. SO yeah, hard to get.

The last Steam skins released were a lot more common and obtainable. Prices are laughable for everything other than one or two super rare skins.

if you think a couple bucks for a rubedo galatine is ridiculous, what about the phased ankyro's skin that sells for 300+ when one goes up for sale?

 

I think there are only about 8 of them that got crafted.

Just buy the skins from Steam, most of it are available for less than 5$, or just buy it from someone that has it.

And tey are mainly available on steam so that Steam can be promoted.

What are you talking about? Proto-skin isn't a Steam exclusive. And if you really wanted that Proto-skin, you would have bought the platinum to get the damned thing. Besides, it's unobtainable either way at the moment.
