BrazilianJoe
The Hybrid Mind Remember me Tenno? I bet you Don't. On your grand strategy, you left me for dead while you raced to try to stop Alad V's madness. Only fleeting glimpses of Tenno racing by me while the Technocyte tore my flesh apart. I hold no ill against you though. I was beyond salvation, for there is no cure for the Technocyte. But something strange happened. I don't know if it was the Tenno's presence which changed it, or Alad's tampering with the Technocyte DNA. But my mind kept going, I was still self aware. I could sense the infestation hive mind pulling my sanity, but I was still there, I was fighting back, I don't know how. I feared I wouldn't last too long though. After the battel was over, I was still breathing. the infestation eventually strenghtened my limbs, and I broke the glass enclosure which was trapping me. I wandered through the derelict lab. Eventually I felt something. a different mind. It was old and soothing. It feared for its life, but it was like an oasis of peace and rationality. I just sensed it. Probably the Technocyte opened telephatic capabilities in my brain, as a way to get in and dominate me of course. I feared I wouldn't resist forever. I had to find some way to silence the infestation voice in my mind. I looked for that otehr conscience, like a beam of light. Eventually I found the source. It was a cephalon. Alad tampered with it, as it told me. Tried to give a cephalon's brain to a prior version of Zanuka. It didn't work, and this cephalon was about to be tortured as well. We found out that the only way to survive would be to stay together. To fight off the Infestation hive mind, we fused our minds into one. We are human, but not human. We are cephalon, but not cephalon. We are Technocyte, but not technocyte. We are the Hybrid Mind. The Hybrid mind is what happened to that poor Corpus Crewman which we raced by in Alad V's infestation event. He survived long enough to find a cephalon captured by Alad, and fused his mind with the cephalon's, creating a super-strong hybrid entity which can dominate the Infested around it, and is not subject to the Infestation Hive Mind. It can be thought of an infestation hive mind of its own, but its hybrid nature makes its objectives distinct, and its logic is very relatable to our thought process. It now seeks to control the infested around it, so that they do not overrun the whole system. The Shock Doctrine The shock Doctrine is another Corpus Syndicate. It does not seek to wage war per se, but takes advantage of conflict aftermath's misery for profit. It purports to help rebuild technology and governments under the guise of 'relief aid', but is really creating puppet governments for their own profits. Vor Supremacy Another Grineer splinter group, this is a group of elite warriors and top-notch scientists which were working for Vor to uncover the Orokin's secrets, and attempted to harness the Tenno power. They are responsible for the creation of the Seer pistol hybrid technology. When Vor was demoted to Captain, they hid a lot of their research and erased many archives from the grineer archives, but kept their own copies. After Vor was killed, they defected. They believe on Vor's vision with fervor and restarted his research, and now they seek a way to cure him from the Corruption and bring him back from the Void. Bitter resentment also makes them want to exact revenge on the Twin Queens for demoting Vor and leaving him at the (lack of) mercy of the Tenno. The Vault Hunters This is a group of mixed makeup, composed of every faction. They are mostly mercenaries trying to survive and live by. They reject Corpus corporativism, the twin sisters totalitarian regime, and the Lotus doctrine. They are more focused on their own survival and tp have good relations with other groups. Unfortunately for them, this puts them at odds with more honor-bound groups which have more black-and-white visions of 'how things should be'. Balancing it all To balance relationships wit the current syndicates, new alliances and oppositions need to be formed. It can be done: New Syndicates get one Enemy between the new ones. All old syndicates relationships are kept. New ally/opposed relationships are created such that every syndicate has 2 allies and 2 opposed syndicates. Vadrigos
What about the Oracles of Saturn? It seems to me they'd make a good faction. They'd probably be allied with the Red Veil and be opposed to Steel Meridian...
Cobalt313
Vor Supremacy sounds like something out of one of my Quest story ideas... perhaps we could compare notes for more details?
BrazilianJoe
I like to spin up little details and give them a soul. That Corpus guy locked inside the glass tube filled me with pity. He could be spun up in a new character, so that's the Hybrid Mind. Vor is such a nice character, and gives us players the 'welcome to Warframe' quest. It would be nice to have a band of loyal companions still on his side. My personal lore theory is that Vor is THE ORIGINAL EXCALIBUR, but suffered terrible, crippling ailments, and lost his power and memory. THe Grineer found and awakened him, but indoctrinated him as one of his own. That's why The Grineer Sisters ordered him to stay away from Tenno, and also why he is so fixated on them. And he will still, one day, be restored to all his Excalibur Glory. Shock Doctrine is a commentary on moderm capitalism/imperialism, as it can be seen happening nowadays by the current world superpowers. The Vault Hunters are kinda default ragtag bad of mercenary/survivors, which while not being the most original idea, is always a healthy justification for hard-to-get items and shady operations. BrazilianJoe
Updated New Syndicates with unique weapon mods for each one.
Vadrigos
So the mods are cool, but the idea of syndicate mods is to breathe life into weapons nobody wants. Most of the weapons these mods are for can be pretty good with a little work.

While that is simply not true Vor is a grineer the reason why the sisters want him to stay away from the Tenno is because he is obsessed with them and it takes away from his duty's as a military officer and more often then not most of his soldiers end up dying when he chases after the tenno. So it wastes valuable resources.
