Innocent_Flower
So currently - Tilesets are spread out throughout the solar system - Difficulty Changes roughly according to how far away something is. (originaly from the sun, Now with earth as the easiest. - There's currently no clear earlygame/midgame/lategame. So. Make earth the earlygame. Put all the tilesets on earth. (except the infested ships, which could appear in allerts) Give earth tons of missions for each tileset. (you can reskin, relight or re-skybox each tileset appropriately) Just for earth, the grineer use lighter looking armour (lancers are butchers) Make planets/large moons midgame. Planetoids, derelicts and whatnot as endgame. Why? 1- If a man on earth could lift 500kg of armour, he could lift about 1300 kg on mars. He could lift over 5000kg on pluto, and he probably should. You know how divers need to wear weightbelts to keep the annoying effect of being to light off them? It'd be far worse than that without a thick atmosphere. 2 - Enemies on other planets would also need more protection from environmental effects. Also other planets would have sever environmental effects. Bring on the rain of molten metal... 3- Many mods would make more sense if these effects were considered. You could (and should) bring heavier bullets into a place where they don't weigh you down and are needed for tougher armours. You would need more multishot in that case too. 4- Wilder endgame variety. On some places (neptune) the gravity's pretty normal but more armour would be needed against the cold, creating a high health/low damage environment (in which suit breaches can be lethal) whilst other planets might have more flamable atmospheres for more damage. TheErebus.
Wouldn't that just make the Earth missions really frustrating and boring to play after a while?
Letter13
I think that some tileset diversity for planets, especially Earth, would be a great idea. As is the idea of Earth being earlygame, planets being midgame and planetoids/derelicts/moons endgame. For example, the arctic regions of Earth, I highly doubt they'd be overgrown tropical jungles. Also, why haven't we fought on Earth's MOON yet? That would be freakin' awesome if we had missions on the moon. (Secret Nazi Grineer Moon Base? Yes please!) Also the gravity issue is another thing; if I go to a low gravity planet I want to be practically flying. And yeah, I always figured that on Jupiter, the enemies would need more protection against the extremely harsh environment... and enemies on Venus would need protection against the corrosive environment and/or increased solar exposure and that Pluto tilesets were way too bright to be Pluto (Pluto is really frickin' dark). Seeing as the game takes place in some other timeline, any and all planets we're actually on could have been terraformed by now. There is no science or logic in a space magic game. Also most of what we encounter in terms of missions abroad are not even on planets themselves (ships, mining platforms, floating platforms, etc). DesecratedPoop
Well, since we're proposing unrealistic requests regarding unique tilesets, real life aspects of planets, and the layout of the solar system... I would like to see all of these objects appear as worlds (planet/derelict/void/asteriod-the-size-of-a-city-that-should-not-have-its-own-tileset): The Moon The rest of the Galliean moons: Ganymede, Io, Callisto Saturn's largest moons: Mimas, Enceladus, Tethys, Dione, Rhea, Iapetus, Titan Neptune's largest moon: Triton Uranus' largest moons: Miranda, Ariel, Umbriel, Titania, Oberon Pluto's moon: Charon Varuna Quaoar Orcus Ixion Haumea Makemake Salacia Varda Chaos Huya Edited January 4, 2015 by DesecratedPoop
