How To Get Obs To Record Warframe

I'm wanting to do a project for the Warframe community, but I need in-game footage for it.

 

But I've not been able to get it to work. I saw a thread a while back about how to try and tune it for recording but it didn't help at the time and I can't find it now.

I am quite a veteran using OBS, and all I do is Record game, Window or Screen Region.

 

Before i could help you, could you tell me what settings are you using on Warframe? Are you using any program that overays the game besides Steam? You tried OBS before?

This was helpful to me, there are more movies if you look for them on there.

 

Have only fiddled with it for a bit, but it seems that depending on what kind of PC you have, the framerate/gameplay will fell sluggish if you set the bitrate too high...

And aside form my earlier failed attempts to get it to record, no, I haven't tried OBS before. My brother's been using it for a while, but he's not been able to get it to work for me.

 

I've hit a point where I'm able to get sound by using the , but no video.

Make sure you have a source set up (try using Game capture first, and if that doesn't work, try Window capture). Once you have a source set up and the game selected on the video source, it should work.

 

Sometimes the game capture source needs to be refreshed after the game has been launched.

With OBS it should be fairly easy, right click on the sources box, and select a new game capture, you should do this when the game is running or the launcher is running, this should have Warframe as one of the selected games to do a game capture.

Sorry for the delay, I would to a "Screen" reocrding and try then if it worked, and if that doesn't help, you'll have to try windowed mode and record session, and if you yet can't, try to contact me ingame
