Ya gotta get inside big groups of SHIELDED enemies, and either crush or shield polarize. Then you can use pull for some decent cc and damage. I am tired, I read the flailing arm bit and had a mental image of a Mag running around with noodle arms, yodeling incomprehensibly. And giggled far longer at that than I should have. I agree, it disconcerting how many people don't know how to play Mag. Since they don't have shields, I use BA and my guns a lot more though. Juggernaught is hilarious with BA on, makes him really easy.
