DrBorris
I have never been too sure of this, are survival spawns a set steady flow? Or is it effected by the rate you are killing enemies? I know that player placement in the tile set effects the spawn rate, but beyond that I am lost.
0 Darzk
Mob spawns are restricted to your kill rate, plus a tiny addition for each minute you've been in the survival mission. It works like this: The number of players, difficulty rating of the mission, and the time you've been in the survival mission determines the number of enemies that will be active on the map at any time (as you go farther, the # goes up - the types and ratio of types of enemies also change). It then spawns enemies a few rooms away from you to replace those enemies you have killed (plus the increase from progressing further in time). If you didn't kill any enemies, only those needed to reach the new cap would spawn, and it's not a large difference. If you travel around the map (especially on solo) and get far enough from a group of enemies, they may despawn, which will cause new spawns a few rooms from you.
