Artashir
@chronoeclipse Headless in the sense of having no guidling intellect. The infested are creatures that [at least start out as] beings of pure instict: the whole reason the technoctye plague is a plague is because there is no control node making it heel. Cpl_Facehugger
Also, it's worth noting that Rhino's codex is questionable at best, we've already been told not to take it into account on a devstream. What? When? Which one?
Artashir
It was pretty clear (not 100% but definitely heavily implied) that without transcendence via somatic link or direct contact, the Tenno can't control or channel void energy into the warframe. As for the Rhino codex, I think it suggests something completely different. Rather than granddaddy Rhino being quickly pacified via transcendence, I think it was Rhino calming down and clearing its head, or perhaps starting to independently develop past its primal instincts. The way I interpretated the Rhino entry was that the initiaton of transferance between the Zariman child and the Rhino was a case of blind happenstance: The Zariman children were on ice - minds without bodies in a sense. When a more ambulatory form without a higher mind currently inside it wandered near enough by one of the children and one of their mind's latched onto it almost as a reflex: remember that after the Rhino calms down it now seems confused and bewildered about its form and the situation it was in. It was a eureka moment, in a sense: the orokin involved found that one powerful but uncontrollable force could control another one quite naturally. -InV-igo95862
Also look at the name of a quest. "Stolen Dreams" Coincidence? I think not.
BadgerSauce777
It is interesting that the Chroma was guarding the machine that acted as a beacon to the Sentient's. Maybe having lost its Tenno it returned to its base or primary objectives of keeping the Sentient's locked away and forgotten independant of an operator. Hence why it fights us to the death referring to the Reservoir( womb in the sky ) while fiercely guarding the beacon. Perhaps even the Stalker is a Tenno-Less frame with some form of sentience,( or his Tenno is still alive ) It will be interesting to see how DE builds on the lore. Archenius
This basically proves that the Warframes themselves ARE sentient, at least to a certain point. Now the question is - what was that Arcane Machine and what was the deal with the Arcane Boiler? Well the warframes were sentient like in the rhino prime codex
