In case you didn't know yet.

Steam, PSN and Xbox Live Servers is currently having issue and possible DDoS attack(look on twitter).

I am not sure if this will affect steam items for warframe.

Meanwhile, there might be problems with verifying warframe items soon that are on your steam account.

Those active hackers aren't only targeting Steam, but also PSN and Xbox Live Servers.

So expect connection issues on those.

I am warning you and I want to tell you, once issues occur.

Don't blame Digital Extremes, they cannot solve the issue in this case.

Let's all hope those companies will be able to interrupt those hacker in-time so we can have a fun Christmas all together.

Thank you for reading this and please, save your time if issues occur.

Yes, I am telling this warning as barely anyone knows about this yet.

Kind regards,

SigweardStoneFist

Update:

Those are the same losers as previous year.

Some proof found on twitter, don't blame me because they're late:

------

Update 3:

Steam Stores can no longer be accessed

Steam account security got compromised.

Advise:

Stay online as long as possible and don't relog or logon!

This will reduce the chance of being hacked

-----

Update 4:

Steam item verification with Warframe seems be affected!

-----

Update 5:

Recommendation:

Please DO NOT trade, buy new content, or use community market to buy.

This will give at least some security to your steam wallet!

PSN and Xbox connections seems to be stabilized, but try to keep being up to date.

Keep up to date with Xbox Live Servers at:  https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-live-status?xr=shellnav

Keep up to date with PSN at: https://status.playstation.com/nl-nl/?smcid=web:pdc:status:support-subnav

Update 6:

Thanks Alzarov for sharing the reddit link.

Supposedly Valve finally took their website offline.

What everyone is being advised to do is stop messing with their accounts because that only makes it  more likely they'll get broken into.

https://www.reddit.c...steam_websites/

Other info:

Steam Guard Mobile is being affected.

Steam recommends to not fiddle around your account settings to reduce the chance being hacked.

----

Update 7:

New items may occur in your steam inventory.

Don't do ANYTHING with them!

---

Update 8:

If you're afraid your ip has been got snooped, here is some extra protection:

https://www.malwarebytes.org/antiexploit/

By installing MBAE, you basically got a third/fourth firewall.

Internet Providers have a build-in firewall in modems and routers these days.

Your computer has Firewall, and most likely a anti-malware/virus with it's own firewall

MBAE(Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit) Logs ip-addresses that are inbound and attempts to block them if it contains malware packages.

---

Update 9:

Steam store back online, advise stays the same till Valve announce the hack has been defeated.

Steam Item verification is working nominal.

---

Update 10:

LAST UPDATE FOR NOW

Steam security systems are working nominal for now for the most people, but I wouldn't buy or trade anything till Valve releases an official statement that everything has been fixed.

Also: apparently with this whole Steam mess, people are getting access to random accounts while logging in on theirs, this gives access to Steam information, Paypal/Credit card/phone/Steam Wallet and whatnot, aswell as changing your region in Steam.

So far only steam store is having Region issues and let you login as other accounts.

But I expect those are the accounts without Steam Guard Mobile.

Since the store is actually broken, nothing can be bought, and your profile doesn't show any actual details like card numbers.

So wait? People can just buy whatever they want on my account and just change stuff 0.0

I am uncertain, I have a friend who accidentally logged in on 2 random accounts, info like E-mail and the last digits of their credit cards could be seen. As for purchasing...since I dont use steam I will hope Adun is right :

This happens every single holiday, it should come as no surprise to anybody. (besides, groups have been straight-up bragging that this was coming this christmas) -- Nobody is surprised.

Besides, xbox live and psn are so damn lazy about upgrading their network infrastructure that the added new users (kids getting new xboxes and paystations) will damn-near crash the networks without help.

Nothing to see here, move along. :P

Those were actually the ones who were treating Steam, PSN, Xbox this Christmas.

Those are actually the same losers that did the same thing previous year.

Right, because it's so unlikely that millions of people suddenly log into steam to get/after getting new games on Christmas.

I just hope this ends some time soon and that nothing bad happens. I just got £30 steam which I redeemed and I would hate it if I lost it because someone decided to spend it :|. Also I would hate it if all my games were deleted and that I have some random stuff on my account as well as changed info, password / email changes, etc. 0.0
