Does Shattering Impact Reduce Armor By Proccing Or Simply Hitting?

It is not clarified anywhere if the weapon needs to proc the Impact effect or not.

I have no idea how the mod works. But I assume you just hit an enemy with a weapon that has impact... not sure.

Dealing any amount of Impact damage with your melee weapon while Shattering Impact is equipped will reduce the enemy's base armor by the specified amount.

Seems to be visibly effective on some of the faster spammy weapons like the Bo series with attack speed, as well as the Shaku nunchucks. Combined with Unairu's armor reduction and corrosive, you can strip enemy armor pretty effectively for quite some time, even better with CP if you're running solo.

I noticed while I was attacking Torment. I use the Shaku very frequently, and use that mod when fighting armored factions. I noticed in under 20 hits, she had been completely stripped of her armor.
