...Staticor = Nullifier

DE Ignore the OP and return the Acrid, Brakk, Synoid Gammacor and every other weapon that's been nerfed to hell back to their former glory this would be the best way to balance the game at this point has the selection of weapons these days is larger and allot better then it used to be.

It people like the OP that ruin the game for every one else and put weapons like the Acrid, Flux rifle ect.. to the bottom of the foundry list because they have become mastery fodder and are no longer worth the forma to build them unless they came with 3 V polarities.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

THAT THAT THAT THAT THAT THAT THAT THAT THAT THAT THAT THAT THAT THAT THAT THAT THAT THAT THAT THAT THAT THAT

Lets not forget - synoid gammacor, ignis, and then all the primaries you nerfed to trash.

Yeah this thing is so damn broken. The excellent damage, coupled with amazing status, AND AOE. i mean the projectile speed isn't even an issue. You need one build for this and it scales into end game with only 2 forma.

Hornet Strike, Barrel Diffusion, Lethal Torrent, Anemic Agility, then the 4 damage, status event mods, so you get Radiation, Corrosive, and Blast damage, with a 99.5% proc chance.

This is OP as all hell, the blast makes it so no enemies can attack you, the corrosive lowers armor on proc, and buffs damage against gunners, the radiation keeps the bombards at bay, and the blast absolutely destroys the machinery. On top of all that nothing has the EHP + Resistances to stand up to this thing...

The Staticor is the Nullifier of all weapons, nothing short of the rubico or tonkor can keep up with this weapon. I have no need to use any other primary or secondary. This thing is just way to powerful. Its like Loki, Rhino, Nyx, and Oberon all had a baby and its name was the Staticor.

I love it to death. I just wish it didn't make every other weapon i love useless.

How do i propose you fix the Staticor?

ONLY ONE OF THE FOLLOWING CHANGES WOULD BALANCE THIS THING

Change the damage type from radiation to electricity, what this does is remove the ability to make a "rainbow" build on the staticor, forcing it to only have two possible elem combos at a time.

Lower the damage by 20-30 points.

Drop the status Chance to 10%

DE created damage 2.0 to stop rainbow builds, releasing the staticor, is like releasing a rainbow build.

Yeah im a jerk, pointing out what everyone is thinking and no one is saying. Yeah im going to hell. Yeah i dont want them to change it either. *hands you my now useless seven forma drakgoon* Im ready for the flak.

TLDR: Staticor OP Plz Nerf

Simple, someone said what i wanted to say all along. Which is that if we are going to have weapons like this, there should be other options.

You're exaggerating as hell man. Staticor is truely good against grineer and corrupted because of it's armor stripping capabilities. But against infested or corpus i'm better off using other weapons like the sonicor.  I'm glad we got another viable weapon to use instead of MR fodder. But it will definitely not be my all-time secondary. There are enough other good secondaries to pick.

And the fact that you deny obvious drawbacks like projectile speed just makes it look like the typical "omg it's useful, pls nerf" thread. But yeah, better trash your "useless" seven forma drakgoon because you obviously can't take both of them at once, right?...

XDDDD dude, you could take this gun into literally any mission, and curb stomp with it. The radiation is built in confusion, you could go magnetic viral, or corrosive blast. This thing is literally perfect for killing everything. It has built in chaos, BUILT IN. with a 100% status chance. Get over yourself this is beyond useful, this is overpowered as all hell. I could waltz into a level 150 mission, and own everything like they were level 20's.

Well, my staticor doesn't instantly cover a 58m radius of enemies full with confusion. You probably must have got a better version than mine.

Lol i tested it already and i like it. And i know that it's powerful i didn't try to deny it. Hence why i said i'm glad to see another viable weapon. Just saying that there are still other alternatives to choose from. But let me try to understand you now. You actually want to have nerfed weapons back to their previous state? Is that what you want?

When things like the Tonkor are allowed to exist unnerfed, there's no excuse for previous nerfs to remain in effect. You can't just nerf some outliers, then leave the new hotness being even further afield than those previous outliers were, without people starting to question it.

Besides, the Brakk was heavily nerfed because of it outperforming primary shotguns at the time - it definitely deserves being brought back up at the very least closer to its original point, now that primary Shotguns have been generally buffed up significantly.

I was just asking since i couldn't really understand what herosupport was saying. But i totally agree.

Ah, fair enough. Classic case of tone not carrying over to text.

Having said that, the distance between weapon tiers is a little bit ridiculous as it stands. It's difficult to say whether a wave of nerfs or a wave of buffs is truly needed. Given the legitimisation of level 100 (and additionally augmented) enemies in Sorties, it's probably the latter. More things buffed up to be able to reasonably deal with the ridiculous enemies before they get their oneshots in. Or a total rework to that 'cheese begets cheese' cycle, but what are the odds of that?

It's not exactly a new problem. When I started I got and adored the Gorgon. Think I even spent one of my few-and-far-between Catalysts on it. Then the Soma existed and it was better in every single way by such a ridiculous amount that no amount of mod-tweaking can bring it to a balanced power level. More damage, massively better ammo efficiency, more accuracy... Was the Gorgon given any love? Nah. They just released Soma Prime later instead. In the meantime we've had two alternate Gorgons that are still equally useless fodder in comparison to the Soma/Prime.

Supra got a bit of a buff in U17 though. Chews through ammo like all hell but at least its base damage being increased by almost 30% made it almost compete, unlike the entire Gorgon family.

*Kisses* My work here is done. Thank you. You are brilliant. If you ever need a DPS specialist for a mission i got your back.

Yes what I am saying is that all the weapons that have been Nerfed in the past should be restored to their former glory to give players more options when it comes to choosing weapons to bring to missions. and has EDDYinnit has pointed out there are some weapons that also need to be looked at and get buffed to become relevant like the Gorgon weapons they are end game weapons in the sense that the heavy gunners use them one way to make units a threat is to increase there weapons effectiveness.

If say the Brakk was brought back to its original glory it would do less then 1 shot (one barrel) from my forma'd Sancti Tigris with the extinguished key (-75% damage) on witch is something I've noticed recently when doing a vault run so I see no reason why it should not be Un-nurfed.

I simulated staticor and sonicor @ simaris with the same mod build.

Sonicor (MR2 requirement) has lower fire rate, range, clip size, but does more damage (impact innate)

Staticor (MR5 requirement) radiation innate.

BOTH can be used as END GAME weapon, and therefore should have higher requirements (in my opinion).

I'd like to remember that when the sindicate primaries were launched, it was announced in Devstream that the mastery rank requirements of weapons would be revised (Boltor Prime as MR4 was given as an example).

I believe there's someone working on the "balance" and ranking of weapons.

If pre-nerfed guns require un-nerf: every case should taken sepparatelly.

Eg. Acrid (MR7 - Nerfed during dark sector wars), Synoid Gammacor (MR6) and the above mentioned Brakk etc...
