Stuck at MR8 - advices?

I've been playing the game for over a year, but I've never really pushed on the MR and I've stayed at MR8 for months, but because I now want to get the syndicate weapons and MR seems to be becoming more and more important these days in terms of team selecting people for teams, I want to start upping my MR. 

But I'm getting this Clouseau-like nervous tic about doing the MR9 test, I've tried it 4 times or so and failed now.  I'm just sooooo S#&$ at stealth and I keep failing the test (I also hate, hate, hate Spy missions and Rescue missions). 

Anyone got any advice about how do do the test better?  I think I should probably be either faster, or slower - i.e. either go quickly and intuitively or take time to watch the patterns, but my pacing always seem to be inbetween, and I get caught.

It's annoying because I've probably got a whole load of MR points stacked up, and I really want to get to 12 to get the syndicate weapons :(

Bring A Glaive or the Redeemer. Long range silent kills with a melee weapon. Makes the test trivial.

Edit: Perhaps bring enemy radar as well so you can tell where the enemies are looking on the mini map, while your behind cover and unable to see them.

If it's the stealth one I think it is, then Glaive and Redeemer are melee with silent ranged attacks that can keep you from being spotted while killing the enemies one by one.

Is that the melee only test where you have to kill the guards without being spotted and then escort the captive to safety?

If so, I did that by fluke first time because my default loadout was Mag, Burston Prime, Synoid Gammacor and Kestrel!  I don't know if it'll still work because a few things have changed since then but picking the guards off at range with a thrown melee made it so easy.

Its been too long since i did this test. but can't you just use loki or ash and breeze this? Also, I don't know if you meant you actually took the test four times, but practice it in the relays until you're 100% comfortable.

Sadly no, you cannot use any Warframe powers, just a melee weapon. My best bet would be Enemy Radar + Glaive.

i used the glaive on this test... actually made it to pass this test, then discarded it. 

remember to practice at the relay of your choice a few times a day, and when you're comfortable with the test, take it. remember... wait until the bot turns his back before you move into the open.  if they're facing you, they'll alert. you can see the bot by standing near a corner in cover and looking around the corner with the camera.

MR tests can be a pain, but the practice areas in relays are a god send.
