Broken war acquisition

I've heard that the parts of the broken war will drop from conculysts, and the broken war blueprint itself drops from the shadow stalker (after completing the second dream, of course). Do I need to have the blueprint in my possession for the war parts to drop from the conculysts? Also are there any other known requirements for getting these drops as well?

i don't think that's how it works. you can get any part before the BP so i doubt you'd need the B.War before getting the blade and hilt.

No, you don't. Also you can trade for the War hilt/blades.

Broken War no longer requires War to craft. http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Broken-War

War on the other hand, does require Broken War to craft. http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/War

It sounds like broken war parts are tradable, though I couldn't find anywhere that was officially posted. The blueprints for War and Broken-War are not. You should not need to have the BP in your inventory to get the pieces, they are probably just uber rare.

What you're talking about is War itself.

You don't need broken war to make War anymore. You can have both.

You still need Broken-War to make War, but you no longer need War to make Broken-War.
