New PvP concept

Okay, alright. I thinking a lot of present PvP in Warframe (further PvP). My opinion, that basis of PvP absolutely wrong, there is need something TOTALLY new.

At first: Basement.

We have three sane fractions: Tenno and theirs allies, Grineer, Corpus. I see PvP more like First Person Shooter where you, a player, can fight for 3 of existence fractions. All of these fractions have a lot of various units, a lot of powers to deal with opponents and now they really are.

At second: A frame.

My concept is close to something like Star Wars: Battlefront series (not a third part of the game). In SW:BF we got plenty classes per fraction:

(I add some correlations between SW:BF2 and Warframe)

  • Snipers (Snipers)

  • Casual Soldiers (Men-with-Rifles, Light Units)

  • Heavy Units (Men-with-bigger-Guns)

  • Engineers (Plant a mines, fix a things, robot beings)

  • Special Classes (Strong men that dont fit to listed classes, mini-bosses)

  • Bosses (Antagonists, Warframes)

Snipers:

Got sniper rifles, long range, fast movement, less health. Tools to stay alive.

Soldiers:

Shotguns, rifles, SMGs - theirs weapons of choice. Average health, movements.

Heavy Units:

LMG units. More health, less speed. Defense/Offensive tools (grenades, mines, EMP(?)).

Engineers:

Errectin' a sentry Place mines, fix things, deploy things, provide fire cover by things, give teammates ammo and healtpacks.

Special Classes:

Gamebreakers. Abilities to anihhialte opponents with efficient or help teammates to get through battlefield safely. That's not a constant class, he is available through game by awarded kill ponts or something like this. 1-3 special classes per 8 players of same fraction. If you die once when playing this class you got a cooldown on that for limited time.

Bosses:

Playable classes available only by play time in a mission (delayed missions) or by completing secondary mission objectives (or something like that). Kill more - Live more. Your health drops every second you play as antagonist, you need kill enemies to staying alive, every kill you got = constant health to your healthbar. You have a bunch of abilities to destroy opponents, use them.

At third: Filling.

By this simple FPS mechanic we got more space to do. More mods to play (Capture the Point, Escort the VIP, DM, Team DM and etcetera), more things to realize. Maybe even a space battles.

At last.

There is NO WAY to make decent PvP game on PvE basement. There is need a new, far away from origins concept in the same game world.

You know not every shooter PvP needs to be like CoD or BF or, so obviosuly presented by you, SW:BF and such. And lol first person? Srsly? No way DE is going to start making FPS mode just for PvP. You are asking too much with all these new "simple" FPS mechanics, better make a new game in that case, i mean the only thing same would be the art desine. And if you dont like PvP in PvE based game then dont play it and go play PvP based game because you are not going to get that in warframe. And no its not absolutely wrong, not everyone hates it.

My concept far more interesting than jump-shoot-die's warframe PvP. Conclave viable only because skins and some rewards.

Conclave is far more than that, and besides, this idea is basically creating an entirely new game using warframe's assets. There is nothing that would have any relation to how the rest of the game functions, both in style and in code, because they would have to completely start anew. It's not a bad idea, but its already been done in other games where it fit much better.

Hm, dont really think so. In that case you usually have minions you need to escort or any other push-the-line game mode if i can call it so. Here you can just fly across it in mere seconds which is not really ideal for all this. Not totally sure tho.

Dark sector conflict pvp was sort of similar to this type of idea....

oh wait, DE still wants pvp removed from dark sector when only 30ish% of players don't want pvp in it.

Yup. 30% speaks a lot louder than the other 70% I guess. #RIPRails

The problem isn't the 30% or the 70%. The problem is the indifference of the players in the middle making up a large portion of the 70%. There's 30% that according to polls definitely doesn't seem to want PVP Rails, then there is the % that definitely does want rails. Everyone in the middle is anywhere from lukewarm to a "ehhhhh maybe". It's these people that are going to kill rails. Because the way DE sees it is these people really won't mind if we don't have rails and couple that with the 30% who definitely doesn't want PVP rails and they have even more of a reason to make rails PVE. It's like voting. It's not the votes you already secured or the votes you know you've lost that kills you, it's the middle of the ground voters that you don't end up getting that kills you.
