Losing Warframes&mods

so a friend of mine was signing into warframe and somehow he lost his account but STEAM was able to recover some data and his mods,

does this happen on the steam build or was it theft?

I'm not sure what you are saying......Clarify what you are saying, it doesn't seem to make sense at all.

"Lost his account" does not make sense. are you saying "Lost his warframes and mods?"

I'm not sure if this was on the steam build as a common occurrence, but it could possibly be theft.

Just let him(Your friend, using his account.) contact support and request a ticket for missing mods and stuff.

he was able to recover his account and he confirmed that nobody knew his Password//email

but he lost a lot of stuff and when he contacted STEAM most of his stuff was restored.

Sounds like a software glitch of some sort.  My guess that his Steam and Warframe accounts were linked, and it took time for the servers to re-share data.
