Modular Defense

So i was thinking about defenses lately and i feel they are a little boring and need a little of a revamp, so I came up with an idea for a defense that as you go along the area you have to defend changes. this may be hard to implement like think if you do really good on the first five waves you have to move to a more forward position being further away from the objective making it more difficult to defend but if you do poorly you have to move closer. Think of it as if you do good you gain ground moving past your previous entrenchment and defensive structures and having to "make" new ones, like little ramparts palisades and other small structures in like one or two minute ready period during this time you may also "recruit" specters to help with the defense making it easier but it might cost either experience you have gained in the mission or credits from your bank and they might enter turrets and other things.

Just give me yall's thoughts and ideas to add onto this.

I was thinking of something more along the lines of archwing defense. You have two defense points. If you defend both you get two rewards but if you let one day you only get one reward and if both are destroyed you get no rewards. This would T4D fun along with alot of other Defense missions.

I really don't like what they did with the sortie defense missions. If the Tenno Operative moved around in any sort of sensible way (or even just progressed through the level like a chicken that still had it's head attached) it wouldn't feel so contrived and annoying. It should be an escort mission, not a babysit the aimlessly wandering dufus mission.

But, I do like normal defense missions a lot, and I would certainly be interested in something along the lines of TC's suggestion...

Oh I agree. The mission would be great if it wasn't so buggy

I have a more different solution, Timed Defenses, where you have to survive until the timer runs out and that would count as one wave, it fits very well for another type of defense I want to see, which is Relay Boarding defense, where you team up with the different Syndicates to defend the relays.
