Cataclysm does not hurt enemies when inside?

Does Limbo's cataclysm only hurt enemies when they breach the wall when they first enter, or do they also take constant damage while inside? This question also applies to banish.

Cataclysm deals damage on cast and that's all.

They take damage when they get in and out of the bubble because of the rift mechanic. It's not cataclysm dealing these damage but the rift itself.

Only when they change planes if i recall, but one thing is sure they don't take continuous damage while in the rift.

Only upon entering/exiting + I think there's bonus damage if you cast Cataclysm on them rather than them walking into it after it is cast

Only upon entering and exit. I sly Tenno would figure out how to make them studder back and forth for maximum damage ;)

Many things I don't understand about your post but the rift damage being so ridiculous (and impact based) make this useless.
