Czygen
Is it worth it installing a greater lens on either my Loki, Frost or Excal? If so, how much more focus is gained?
0 AXCrusnik
The increase vs normal lenses isn't very significant. If you plan on crafting Greater lenses you're better off just installing 4 lesser lenses on 4 different weapons/frames than a Greater on 1. If so, how much more focus is gained? According to the wiki; you gain 40% more compared to normal ones. As for installing it, depends. Personally I use greater lenses on frames I use a lot, while keeping normal ones on weapons, to maximize focus gains (warframes gain EXP no matter what, so its best used on them). That said I buy all my greater focus lenses, so results may vary. Edited June 30, 2016 by Alma_Elma
0 Klazik
Personally I don't think it's worth it. A greater lense only has 0.5% more conversion than a regular lense.
0 (PSN)adrian80
I look at greater lenses as long term investment - something to do that takes a while. Gathering 4 lenses of the same type takes a long time, unless you buy them from the trade chat. A small bonus is still a bonus.

This statement is very misleading as it is completely taken out of context. Yes, it is absolutely true, but... normal lens converts 1.25% of affinity to focus and greater lens converts 1.75% of affinity to focus. While the difference is exactly 0.5% in conversion ratio , you will get 40% more focus if you use greater lens.

It's only misleading if you don't read the whole thing.
