No, you need to show me proof so that I can see that it was retconned. I will easily believe you IF you can show me the screen caps that you claim were intergral to Lephantis' character but were then removed.

Simaris and Suda are probably different type of Cephalon from Ordis. Simaris has called him a "antique Cephalon 2". Which he also said that all the Cephalon 2 he found or either beyond repair or stopped functioning.

This is more of a metaphor. Crimson sword is just a way of saying of how much people were killed. That his sword's colour has changed to a bloody red
