What weapon to get?

I have gotten my karak, skana, and lato to level 2. I am also mastery rank 2. What primary, secondary, and melee should I get next?

For Secondary, I'd recommend the Vasto. I'm not sure what the Mastery requirements are. It doesn't have a Mastery restricton. It was the first Secondary that really worked for me. 6 shot revolver, fast reload and fire rate, decent damage.

And later it can be upgraded into Akvasto, the dual variant. As long as you have 2 Vastos plus one other secondary, because it won't let you craft a dual pistol if you will temporarily have no weapons in the secondary category.

Think of this like Pokemon. Gotta get em all! Mastery rank from affinity= good

I'd just use whatever you have to complete missions untill you level up damage mods, then worry abou what you fancy

Of course ALL OF THEM:-)

Medium weapons which are above avarage:

Primary: Zhuege, Kohm, Boltor, Tonkor

Secondary: Akmagnus, ALex, Sonicor, twin grakatas

Melee: Galatine, Dual Zoren, Dual Heat SWord, Alterax, Destreza

 

And many more which are just avarage, but still good to use. It is more about avoiding bad weapons, or hard to use.

Any weapon start to shine with a bit of love and Orokin Catalyst.

There are also Clan Weapons: Amprex, Dual Ichor

You can also try to get one of primes, which are now easier to get.

do you recommend dual zoren or galatine as an upgrade from my skana? i heard zorens are only good for the air dash or something

i would recomend you just level up stuff as you go. want a boltor? go for it. want a galatine? get it and have a ball.

 

the reason i say this is because most of the early mastery fodder weapons like the  boltor, lex, and even scindo have a stronger varient you can get later. So just make whatever you are curious in since you need to try out all of the weapons to not only get mastery points but to also find out what you like to use.

Yes.

Skana has no speed and no crits.

Zorens have both.

Dual Ichor have a bit of status on top of that, but are less versalite in damage type.

Heh, Zoren (and in general) coptering is a thing of the distant past.
With Warframe, there's a lot of outdated information floating around out there in the intertubes.
 

Also, while some weapons do perform better than others,
it's mostly about the Mods so don't expect huge jumps in effectiveness without heavy investment into those,
you can e.g. take your MK-1 Braton into Sorties / Trials once it's all modded up and do ~well enough.
