Sortie viable Despair build? Is it even possible?

So Stalker dropped his kitchen cutlery for me when I smoked him recently. 

 

Yep it's a straight up damage weapon with no crit or status to speak of, so has anyone used the thing in a sortie and gotten away with it? What builds have you used? 

Hornet Strike, Barrel Diffusion and Lethal Torrent because duh,

Gunslinger because more fire rate

Two elements for faction specific combo

Primed Heated Charge because duh

Bane mod (or "Cleanse" mods, I think), faction specific.

Opinions?

It is not a very good weapon. Not worth even potatoing I would say

Swap that bane mod for "Concealed explosives" because --> explosions <--

This^. at most, Despair can be effective with CE at keeping Corpus shields from recharging, I'd much rather use the Spira Prime for late-game, as they have way more Crit.

I like the look of Despair.  Sadly it doesn't hold up at well when compared to Hikou Prime or Spira Prime.  Best thing you can do for it is to add Concealed Explosives as the others suggested.

And to think that it used to be the strongest Secondary in the game...
