Volt prime is a pretty good warframe, even after his rework.

I'd say go for it!

It depends on your play style. It has shields that can block projectiles, speed boost (Boosts melee atk spd too), mass CC. If it's worth crafting Volt or not, its up to you.

This is completely subjective and up to your personal preference.

Contrary to forum belief, no frame is bad. Some are better at certain things then others but all are able to successfully run any content in the game, so effectively every frame is worth getting.

Volt in particular is highly tactical and has a variety of gameplay styles ranging from focusing on melee, to crowd control and even defense.

He's a great frame. If you mod him right then his fourth ability is very useful at incapacitating enemies in a wide radius, essentially freezing them in place long enough to headshot them or simply evade them. His speed is very useful for buffing melee speed for the whole team and of course for getting to places faster. His shield can be used to make a stand with your back to the wall, plus it adds electricity damage and multiplies critical damage for anything you shoot through it. You can also place several shields at once, meaning you can surround yourself, the team or an objective. His first ability seems useless at higher levels.

Volt is a very good support, able to share offensive buffs with the team as well as providing defense through Electric Shield and mobility through Speed. He also possess shock that is a useful skill to stun enemies and Discharge that allows a bigger stun time in a big radius around you, which is nice for emergencies. Volt Prime is an upgraded version of Volt, making him even more viable than Volt currently is.

If you look for a supportive and versatile Warframe, you don't need to look further. He's also a very good damage dealer if you bring a critical based weapon with you and make sure to shoot through Electric Shield (Electric Shield gives +200% bonus critical damage).

However, contrary to a popular belief, Volt isn't the most suited Warframe when it comes about Crowd Control due to how Discharge works. If you want a more CC based warframe, you should look for another Warframe like Frost or Vauban.
