Tarnas pulled out a Furis, and started shooting down the missiles.

A volley of missiles flew in from the right side of the Xiphos. Behind them was Edward, strapped to an Elytron.

"Forgetting someone?!" He shouted as the missiles closed in on the fleeing ship

He activated his afterburners, and flew alongside the ship.

"Let's see how much punishment this hull can take" He muttered grabbing his Dual Decurion.

He began unloading the rifles clips into the side of the ship, hoping to make some sort of impact.

Asmodai sidestepped, avoiding the molten slag.

"So, who do you think is gonna win over there?" he asked casually, throwing a concealed knife at Svytoj.

Svytoj caught the knife gingerly and began twirling it. the task was made somewhat more difficult by the tentril at his arm.
"Hard to say. Given the strengths and weaknesses I've seen in all three of them thus far, this could go indefinitely. Kind of like us." Svytoj said with a smile.
He looked down at the blade. "But you know what, You're not the one I came here to fight. Even if you believe in his goals, I have no quarrel with you. I have one with him. I saw what the Orokin did to the Children of Zarimann 10-0. And what I saw sickened me. To know that he's doing the same damn thing..."
Svytoj causally tossed the knife back to Asmodai, grip first.
"if you want to keep fighting, I won't stop you. We'll just keep going until one of us Dies or we get bored. But you seem a decent man; He doesn't."

"The Orokin's mistake was that they never ensured that their slaves would remain loyal. Every void-afflicted child we have created bears my touch - my thoughts guide their own. These 2nd generation tenno will not repeat your betrayal, I assure you."

The High Inquisitor watched as Aria fired at nothing, amusement briefly flashing across his features.

"Besides, we have taken more.... conventional... methods to assure their loyalty. There is a highly addictive drug here known as fume. We have ensured that these children as dependent on us for this substance."

He extended his off-hand, and an identical scythe formed in his hands, but this one was made of entirely of void energy.

"Assuring me, or yourself~?" Aria offhandedly remarks, emptying the last of her magazine before popping in a new one. The bullets flew all over the room, but strangely no sounds of impact was heard.

"Because mind wipes and drugs are *such* endearing ways to inspire people, amiright~?"

"Dependency is one thing~" Aria drawls, bands of white beginning to pump through her legs as she walks forward, raising her greatsword slightly upwards to her side.

"Loyalty is something else entirely~"

Aria was already upon the HI's front, bringing her Galatine P down in a spinning diagonal slash.

Asmodai seemed to grow solemn, the joy of the fight suddenly turning sour.

"Let me ask you a question. If you can answer me without any hesitation, I'll stand down." he said slowly, planting the tip of his galatine into the floor, heat dissipating, "Can you honestly tell me that what the world is like now is better than what the Hierarchy offers? I look around, and I see the system bleeding. A three-way war between Corpus, Grineer, and tenno tearing apart everything, Colonies razed to the ground, their occupants executed in the streets, homes and families forever destroyed...."

His eyes grew distant, as if recalling a traumatic memory.

"The Hierarchy might be tyrants, but they offer peace, stability. The Tenno cannot provide this. The Corpus will not provide this. The Grineer oppose this. So tell me this: can you truly say that what we have now is better than what the Hierarchy offers?"

"loyalty or dependency - the difference is irrelevant. They will serve me because it simply impossible for them not to." he said

He held up his energy scythe to block the attack, moving the physical one to slash through Aria as her blade was stopped by the energy scythe.

"heavy stuff.. But no, I wouldn't say it's better. That said, it isn't worse." Svytoj said, still keeping any eye on the fight with the High Inquisitor. "Where as the orokin where one collective, functional dictatorship, the dynamic between the corpus and grineer is obviously more chaotic." he said as he turned back to Asmodai. "There is one main differnce here that tips it over the edge, at least in my opinion; There are those standing up for the people now, and the people are starting to have a voice again. "Computer, divert all power to the Elytron's main Boosters" He ordered.

A second later a confirmation message appeared on his warframe's HUD. With a loud crack, the Archwing rocketed forward, closing the gap between the Xiphos and the Archwing at an alarming rate. Edward holstered his rifles and equipped his Knux

He held up his energy scythe to block the attack, moving the physical one to slash through Aria as her blade was stopped by the energy scythe.

"Impossible~?" A savage smile creeps over Aria's face, "*You're* telling me that it's impossible~?"

Her left now clawed hand lashes out to parry the physical scythe, a ripline wiggling behind her back carrying her Soma P. (it's not actually growing out her back *yet*, it's just appears that ways as the rest of the string's out of HI's current viewpoint).

The bullets started speeding up again, though it's impact sounds was nothing close to regular. Did they stop once they hit something? Did they keep going? Neither of the pair was in a mood to elaborate.

"That is precisely why~," Aria forcefully pulls the HI in and delivers a resounding headbutt.

"It's possible~..." The Valkyr continues with two legged clawed kick to the face as she vaults off the HI and flies backwards through the air.

Quicker than a stage magician, Aria's once again drawn assault rifle joins the sounds of a battle rifle (at least, I'm of the opninon the Latron P is something those lines) as bullets went flying all over. Some again aimed at the HI's head, others in seemingly random directions.

All around the room, the remnants of the reborn troops were quietly falling to the floor. Shortly after they do, Their severed arms would fade back into visible light, their keys carved into identical pieces and the golden roots turned into gravel. (think this but on a space ninja level ^^;)

The High Inquisitor stomped his foot, creating a wave of void energy that disintegrated all of the bullets. His smile was gone, replaced an an expressionless mask. A single trickle of blood ran down his forehead.

The exposed roots on his arms began to squirm madly, and the smell of ozone filled the air. The High Inquisitor clutched his scythe's more tightly, and suddenly was standing behind Aria. Seconds later blood started seeping out of a deep wound in her shoulder. The High Inquisitor then brought his physical scythe down on where Valkyr's shoulder met her neck, intending for a quick kill before moving on to Mia.

The High inquisitors wrist shattered as a bolt of cold, followed by several rounds of grakata ammunition slammed into his arm.

Yeah, that' ain't gonna last long... Svytoj thought, chuckling to himself.

Despite his wrist being broken, the golden roots kept his hands functioning normally. The High Inquisitor gave no indication that he had felt pain, even as blood poured from his wrist.

"Asmodai," the High Inquisitor said to his bodyguard, "You disappoint me."

Then he vanished, suddenly behind Svytoj. He brought both of his scythes to bear and Svytoj, swinging them in a rapid yet controlled manner, barely allowing his to recover from each blow.

Then he dismissed his energy scythe and grabbed Svytoj, flinging him into the far wall with strength he shouldn't be able to possess.

A ball of fire exploded in front the High inquisitor as Svytoj went flying. Looks like he had kept some of the fuel canisters from his destroyed flamethrower.
The fire scorched the mans chest and face.

Through the tendril, The High inquisitor could feel Svytoj grinning.

Svytoj's aura worked to knit Aria's wound shut.

When the flames died down, the High Inquisitor was standing behind an energy shield (think volt's ability) with little more than his robes singed.

Through it, he fired off a colossal void beam at Svytoj.

Barely an instant had passed then before Aria had positioned herself behind the HI, kicking through the air hard enough to cause a succession of shockwaves to reverberate through the room. The Valkyr was already pulling herself together, a mix of a plethora of tiny riplines coming out of the exposed wound stitching her back together (I highly recommend watching Kill La Kill if you haven't already), sheer muscle control, and a mix of Svy's rejuvenation aura and Mia's own siphoning.

Her Galatine P in a diagonal swing was already beginning to cut through the exact same spot the HI had gashed her earlier, the wound clean enough that there would be no noticeable pain until he shifts around.

In the epicenter of the void beam, the blade of Mia's Orthos P appears out from the shadows. Focusing a variation of her absorb on the tip, she pulls the void beam mid flight like a fish on a lure. With a cold and deft precision, The cloaked Nyx spins the beam around and launches it right back at the HI, boosting it even faster with the ending burst of her polearm's absorb.

Like falling into the sun, all the bolt shielded bullets zigzagged inwards before they joined up with the void beam, finally colliding straight on at the HI's shield.

Moments before Edward made impact, Tarnas' Xiphos opened fire at the heat generator. However, due to the damage his ship took, he damaged it instead of destroying it. It was still likely very unstable now.

As the Xiphos fired, A EMP Mine detonated at its stern, crippling its thrusters and targeting systems.

"ED, GO! NOW!"

He threw down a large Bastille, hoping to keep any larger projectiles at bay.

There was a loud and sickening crunch as the metal of the ship gave way to the giant mechanized fist.
"Dammit!" He cursed
In a fit of rage he twisted one of the Xiphos' wings out of shape

He stopped for a second and thought.

Tarnas' ship had taken a massive amount of damage, and finally it couldn't keep going, crashing into the ground. It was mostly intact, but definitely not capable of flight anymore.
