How to disable in game chat or preventing it from popping up all the time??

I already disabled all the chats from the options, but I can't disable the clan one and it's really ruining the quest for me, popping up all the time during cinematics and missions; besides, there are of course a lot of spoilers in there.

Is there a way to prevent it from popping up??

Create a private message tab for one of your clanmates, don't send him anything just keep that message tab open - Done.

You can also set your game to Invite Only instead of Solo, and that squad chat tab will remain empty.

You can set the game to public, chat will come up, then set it back to solo. Bam.
