Response to beaconshare scamming?

What do we do when a player agrees to beaconshare, takes advantage of someone else's beacon, then leaves and blocks the party? There is no option to report him for that (closest is "harassment"). I just played with a guy called "removed" and he did this. Is he just going to walk away?

DE doesn't enforce promises. It sucks, but there isn't really any action you can take against him.

EDIT: I suppose you could try reporting 'scamming' under harassment, but I doubt anything would come of it.

That, also, naming him/her is against forum rules.

When you trust people to be honest, you do so at your own risk. DE doesn't police agreements made between players unless it's really serious.

Do beacon sharing with friends or your clan the second you choose to do this online you run the risk of scamming. DE doesnt enforce this so they cant do much.  on their support page when you make a ticket theres a "report user or hack" section trythat I guess

So really nothing stops these people from scamming the hell out of everyone.
At least they understood the problem with keys and switched to a visible relic system. But beacons? Nah, cba.

I think the general consensus on promise sharing is only do it if you're farming buddies or you've got leverage over them like you're warlord of the clan they're in or they are within shoulder punching distance irl.
