What melee weapon for Ash?

On a purely fashion side. 

I feel like the katana is not really appropriate(isn't it more of a Samurai than ninja thing?), which weapon do you think fits the look of the deluxe skin the most? 

Possibly not a terrible weapon too! :D

Definitely Venka Prime. It has innate buffed combo multiplier so it'll work perfect with Bladestorm.

Deluxe skins, in my opinion at least, will always fit with the weapon skins released alongside them. So for this case, [Dragon] Nikana [Prime] with Ryu. Okina too, though they may be a tad bit on the small side.

The thing about katanas not fitting seems irrelevant when looking at Ash Prime's design given it's samurai inspired, so I see no problem with the Nikana class. However, I find Fang Prime to pair well.

Venka and its Prime work well with all three.

You can use the Nikana, the ninja's that we associate with the 20th century ninja (and ash) image are usually based off shinobi, which were from Japan.  Although Japanese they used a lot of Chinese martial arts and as such there were Chinese 'ninjas' prior to them. 

As to weapons... Nikana is obvious, you can use the dual scythe weapon, personally I'd use the dual kamas (non prime) because they don't fold down like the prime or some sort of staff weapon with a pointy end like the tonbo or kesheg. You could likely get away with the nunchaku too if you wanted a different look.

venka prime are also good looking on his deluxe skin ! I would consider doing what he said.
