Best Melee Weapon For The Early Stages Of The Game

Hello, I'm a new player in Warframe. Does anybody know any good Melee Weapons that are good for the Early Stages of the game.

With the huge array of weapons and modifications that can be made to them, there really is no single answer to all or even just one question; it's all a matter of what works for you and what you're comfortable with.

In the early stages of the game you'll have your Skana/Mk. 1 weapons which will do well enough to get you going, and the Cronus is a decent direct upgrade to the Skana from a stat perspective. But what you'll come to find out is that with appropriate mod loadouts which will likely take several months or even a year or so to be able to fully employ, even the most basic weapons are completely relevant even late into the game.

Still, I'd start by asking yourself what your favorite style of melee weapon is in the game, do you like the heavy two handed weapons? Perhaps a quicker staff or pole-arm with a little extra reach? Or are you more of a traditional swordsman, preferring single or dual blades? Each weapon type has it's own strengths and disadvantages, and some have more than their fair share of quirks.

He pretty much solved it there for you. In addition, even the crappiest (statwise) weapon, can still be lethal with the right setup/ warframe. Stealth modifiers are pretty insane for damage dealing, and then you get weapon specific mods that add to their utility too.

 

A simple boost to easy high level killing, get a warframe that can open enemies up to finisher attacks (Ivara and equinox come to mind, though they are by no means easy to obtain), get a dagger, and add in Covert Lethality mod... with that you can pretty much kill anything that's not a boss/ has a finisher death.

Dual Zoren, Galatine, Orthos, Fang and Skana are solid early weapons. If you can get some Argon crystals in the Void T1 you can also craft Atterax, Nikondi or Karyst.

The dual zoren has the benefits of a low MR requirement (2), high base crit chance (25%), and very high crit damage multiplier (3x).  Given that the game's meta values crit highly, it can take you a long way, provided you have the mods to maximize its good base stats further (True Steel and Organ Shatter to start out).  It's a very strong weapon for shredding your way through the hordes of infested found in Dark Sector missions, that have better rewards and resource drops.

If you prefer something bigger and slower, that hits harder and reaches further, rather than the zoren's frenzied flurry of strikes, then good choices are either the Scindo or Galatine, both of which have primed versions that are among the best melee weapons in the game.

I will add the Nikana Prime to this list of beginner weapons.  Why, because it doesn't have a master rank requirement.  It will also last well into endgame type content.

I've found Dual Heat Swords to be easy to craft and a very solid pick early on
