I think you might be right Mando, I'll have to go back and re-read it.

And why are you envious? Your writing it great ^-^

 Thanks. <3

bejuizb, I'd love to read it.

As a side note, working on the next part of the story, trying to improve it.

I Would be honoured to read your novel Bejuizb. Truly I would.

Must also get onto writing Nyght's exploration of the foundry/armoury, getting kit back and picking some new stuff. And working round there being no Foundry master Quinn there. I can assume he would have a subordinate/apprentice there in his stead?

All of the want to read Bejuizb!

And now to continue with the conversation with Kris and Quinn :D

edit: i do not have a apprentice or subordinate, but the foundry is set to auto help, so it has a intelligent Ai helping but nothing can be made personalized, or if its something special, like a prime, ect., you would have to wait.

Anyways after this "chat" He is on his way back home.

Holy responsefest lol

Alright, I might as well post it here. My inbox is full, and I can't delete any of my old convos

Be warned, when I say novel, all I've done so far is maybe 800 or so words. Typed it out during a free period at school.

I'll post in 3 hours. Physiotherapy calls ;)

There's now been a couple references to the Corps Galen's with, so I wrote up a couple things about it.

Should have done so a lot earlier...

About the Assassin Corps.

They're far more than just assassins even though they're named so.

From spies to information gatherers to tacticians, scouts and even handling protection of locations and people, they can do it all.

In fact, these first two tasks are quite possibly what they're used for mostly.

They keep the Lotus informed of everything going on in the system.

She then uses that information to direct the rest of the Tenno into action.

They also act as advisers, they can influence decisions, raise points of attention but also voice complaints.

And about the name, it strikes more fear into the enemy than, for example, the "spy" or "does-everything-in-the-system-that-needs-to-be-done" corps.

There are 50 members in total.

The member ranked first is also the Corps commander. This one only goes on missions if absolutely necessary.

His main role is relaying. All information the Corps gathers is send on to him.

He'll read everything, compile relevant bits and pieces from all sources into rapports, send them on to the Lotus and keep the Corps archives up to date.

He stands directly under the Lotus, and she is the only Tenno authority capable of commanding the commander.

Members 2 to 50 can be given orders by the Lotus and the commander, and nobody else.

These members can be anywhere. That's something they all decide for themselves, their imagination is the limit.

Some are spread through different clans, some live on the Station, some make their home in a derelict, cleaned out and re-purposed.

Some prefer to always be on the move, no place to rest, all they have is what they can carry.

Galen is one of those who made their own home, somewhere in space (miniature Death Star style to give you an idea).

They stand above the law, but are not completely invulnerable to it.

For their work, they often need to work outside of the rules, but they can't abuse that power.

For example, should they get into trouble with the law, they can go "nope, you're gonna let me walk right now" like Galen did, but he had an actual reason to get into that trouble. As such, nobody will say a thing about it.

However, had he, for example, started a fight for no reason other than boredom and used "haha, you can't touch me, i'm with the Corps and far above the law", he WILL be in trouble.

Raising attention to the Corps for no reason is not appreciated.

On a first offense, if it's not that serious, he'd walk away with a warning.

Second time, or if the offense is serious, he'd be punished for it.

A third time, or something so serious that there's no other choice, it's permanent exile from the Corps.

This is also a death sentence, as there's no way you'll walk away with all of the Corps's training, equipment and knowledge.

Every member who has the time (or can make time), will make it their first priority to hunt you down.

If a member is involved in something, authority falls to that member, but as shown earlier, if that member decides there's someone else who should handle it, authority can be passed on. Or taken back, if necessary.

But that means the member screwed up his judgement quite good, so they'll only pass it on in the first place if they're sure the new recipient will use it properly.

A decision by a member can be overruled by the commander and by the Lotus if either deems it necessary.

This doesn't happen often and needs a very good reason.

A Small Piece for Valkyr, Great Posts everyone!

---------------------------------------------------------------

Sometimes, Brutality is something akin to Primal Rage, or Instinct crawling through your veins.

Smooth Skin and Bulging Cheeks. The first one was like picking apples from a fresh vineyard.

It felt so natural and yet so true. Madness they call it, maybe it is some sort of divine blood lust.

The two clowns in suits, i only wish i could sink in my claws and taste the iron from whatever

fury they drove themselves into. The only lucidity comes from when i drop his arm, as if

afflicted by heavy doses of ecstasy, the drowning heat of his gasping cries as i plunge my fist

straight into his box headed face. My claws at their throats, i could play with them all day long.

Toys,Ragdolls to do as i wish with them. I can rope them, i can burst their eardrums, make

them bleed and want more. I don't get my some of my brethren, they cut these mortal live so short.

Whats Life as Gods, if we cannot play with mortal men?

'Eden,' Alane repeated.

The beast now known as Eden inclined its head. Alane stood up and walked closer to where it sat, she let her legs fall out from beneath her and sat next to him.

'You are a human? From the Old-Earth era?'

The beast again nodded, and began to speak without screaming, his voice like sandpaper over metal.

'I wash infecthed with the firsth strain of technocythe. One of the many...Sidthe effecths is the screaming. Ith's off and on, the Technocythe beckoning me to join ith in insanithy.'

Alane looked at him, wide-eyed beneath her suit.

'First strain? That's impossible! The J-2000 are barely a thousand years old...'

'There ish noth many things the technocythe can do in terms of growing once you've been experimented on.'

'What do you mean?'

'I am the producth of Nakarn's first few experimenths. Me and several other infecthed humans who had given up on a cure for our afflicthion were to be senth to a desolathe planet to die out.'

Alane was deep into Eden's story, engrossed in every detail, wanting to learn about Nakarn.

'Then, afther several years, hundreds maybe. He came. He was also suffering from the same, only he came of his own will. He then experimented on us and the other victhims that came over the years...'

'Then, eventhually we had to move, the resources for his so-called 'research' nearly deplethed.'

'His experimenths with me were done, I was now what you call a J-2000. His experimenths merely stumped my growth and granthed me my conscience. He thossed me intho this place as soon as we found ith, hoping I would die outh. He failed to recognize the thrue reaction. I didn't need any sorth of biomass to live. I am nearly immorthal now.'

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Darius stood before the operating table, escorted by both hordes Nakarn had called earlier.

He stood before his death.

His end.

Then the screaming started.
