I'm thinking of two different endings to my fanfic: one might be considered the perfect happy ending, while one might be considered a crappy ending (a la Mass Effect 3). Now, my aim is to make the ending stick to the reader's mind for a while, letting it stew and fester into some questions, once again, a la Mass Effect 3. I'm thinking about allowing the readers to make a choice in the final stage of the story. They pick what ending they wish to see, and then they stick to it till the end. It's not going to be like the Goosebumps stories where each page is the result of something else, but just ONE single ending, where they have to make a choice to determine their ending.
