Nidus Link Ability Question

So im a bit confused. Im subbed to multiple warframe channels and I saw all thier reviews on Nidus. But when they all talked about his Link ability. Some channels description was different from others. Some said it provides power strength when linked to an ally. (Also says n the wiki) But others say it increases both you and your linked ally weapon dmg. So which one is it?

I believe it's both. I played Nidus a lot and rarely do i ever link with Allies.

It increases power strength both for you and for that ally.

just to add to this, ive noticed your linked ally whenever you fire your virulence(first ability), it also fires from your linked ally

Link with ally > bonus power strength for you and that teamate

Link with enemy > all CC/status and a % of the damage are transfered to the enemy
