A question about the (spoiler) Virus and Nidus

Does anyone know Nidus can sill infect others with the Helminth Virus after the cyst on his neck is drained? 

I've been putting off using Nidus so I don't mess up my alignment and I'd rather not test it myself in case Nidus is still infectious.

Edit: What I'm asking is after I drain the cyst on Nidus' neck if I take him in to a mission will I still infect other warframes with the Helminth Virus?

You can get reinfected as far as I know.

Does draining the cyst/having a charger change anything in the Helminth room? New lines maybe?
