Just lost Io defence at wave 30

So the thing i defend was 6k hp then suddenly dropped to 3.2 in 5 seconds 
I went and hit a crowd control skill it stopped at 3.2 then in 2 seconds it was destroyed!
Is there a mob at wave 30 has the capability to instant 3k damage?

Even starting on a fairly low level planet, by the time you get to wave 30 you will likely be dealing with enemies that can take down the cryopod very quickly -- making it hard to keep going solo if you don't have something like a Frost/Limbo. 

Which planet was it, and faction were you fighting?

No, there is not. The only thing that could have happened is that there were several enemies that hit it and dealt damage over time.

This is true. It could easily seem like it though if you don't know better with how quickly the pod could go down at that level. Several enemies at once could knock it down before you even know whats happening if you don't have it protected. Or have 100% cc of everything. Even if the OP started on a low level planet, by wave 30, a handful of mobs could whittle it down to nothing just like that.

Actually, if there was a Corpus Tech there, it might've been him. Those guys can deal many thousands of damage in a single second, even at just level 30. Basically, if one of those guys starts shooting at something you need to defend, and their gun manages to reach full speed, it's usually as good as dead.

Heavy Gunners are a similar story. Though they don't do as much damage as quickly, they attack from further away and can be hard to notice at first. Because of their hit-scan bullets there can be 2-4 firing on your cryopod/excavator/etc without you even noticing for a second or two, and by that time it may be too late.

Since you hit the CC ability, I would assume it was a nullifier.  Whether they were somewhat close and negated the effect, or were at range and sniped it I don't know.
