Best way to farm Mutagen Samples with 1-2 players?

Question

Me and my friend have a clan together and it's just the two of us. Collecting 5000 Mutagen Samples for the Hema research seems like a near impossible task for us and it feels like DE has completely forgotten about small clans like ours when they made the Hema.

So what do you guys suggest we do to scrape together those 5000 Mutagen samples? And we're not going to recruit more members... We like playing together just the two of us.

Dark sectors don't drop Mutagen Samples...

Oh boy if they did. That would mean we wouldn't be forced to play exclusively Eris or Derelict... That would make the grind more bearable by a whole lot.

But we can't have nice things.

Nekros+Hydroid and ODD/ODS. Small clans can still research the Hema it just depends if you've spent the time farming or not..really it's like anything else in warframe

If not Nekros and Hydroid, you can also use a speed Nova to make things go faster. Prepare for long hours of farming, though.

I'd still recommend playing with a full squad, even if the other players aren't in your clan. because more enemies spawn that way and you have more options for groups. Also, there's a chance that one of the players you invite might have a resource drop chance booster active.

Derelicts have the better drop chance so go there instead of Eris.  Don't do one mission over and over as that will get you burnt out far too fast.  Mix it up and also consider if there is anything else you want to get from there so you can multi-task and get a bit more of a sense of achieving things.  If you don't have all corrupted mods, bring dragon keys and try to get the ones you need.  If you don't have both the kavats try to get a few scans but don't worry if you miss some because you'll have plenty of chances.  If you do have corrupted mods, bring dragon keys anyway then sell them for platinum and spend it on boosters.  One person buying a double drop chance affects the whole squad since everyone gets the same items dropping and if you both get double pick ups too then that'll make the grind roughly four times faster.  You could also try sending Distilling Extractors to Eris but the chance of getting any Mutagen Samples is still pretty slim and you only get 4-6 at a time.

Orokin Derelict Defense

2 Nekros

2 Smeeta with Animal Instinct

Resource drop chance booster

Resource doubler booster

Recruit 2 more players in chat

ODD with Smeetas is better than Survival with Sentinel/vacuum because it concentrates all the drops while Smeeta resource creation and doubler usually gives and extra 15 to 20 samples per 20 waves.  Animal Instinct or Loot Detector means you won't miss any drops.

2 Nekros helps because sometimes you will be killing faster than 1 nekros can desecrate. If you add other frames it should be Speed Nova and an Ember.  20 to 30 waves, then repeat.

Nobody has forgotten smaller clans, there just happens to be a principle in life - add either resources or hours. If you don't want to recruit more, play more. It's not an impossible task, had you played actively for the last few years the research was already underway. Why do people expect results without commitment?

We have a clan of 5 members and the research ate only a fraction of our inventory.

Nekros + Hydroid (pilferoid build) + ODC = Survival minus the timer and minus the enemy level ramping over time. You'll have to effectively start running laps as the spawn system will only spawn units 2-3 tiles away from you after you capture, but it's doable with a two man.

Same build setup, but you can do the obligatory ODS run and sit in the elevator hoovering up the loot. You'll have to eject earlier than if you had a proper group, but it's a pretty safe way to cash in for the run.
