Instead of plat, the cost will be resources. As the amount of resources put into the project goes up, the time goes down. Though, only when the complete next stage has been paid for will the new timer start. This should allow the smallest clan of the most casual players to the most hard core group farmers to play at the level they want to with a corresponding cost. Stage 1 Research - A cheap start up cost. 30 day build time. stage 2 Research - 2x resources added to stage 1 - 15 day build time Stage 3 Research 2x resource added to stage 2 - 7 day build time Stage 4 Research 2x resource cost added to stage 3 - 3 day build time (where we are now) We have no life but Warframe, Tenno 4Ever Stage - 2x resource cost added to stage 4 - Instant build The equation used doesn't really matter, be it additive, or some other sort of big complicate equation. The more a clan invests, the faster its built. Everyone wins. Don't want to invest but still want the toys, minimum resources, maximum time to build. But can play what you want when you want at your own leisure. Want the new shiny and want it now! Maximum resources, no wait time. And everything in between. Using the Hema as an example. Using its current values for a Ghost Clan. Stage 1 - 875 Credits - 875 Mutagen Samples - 1250 Plastids - 5625 Nano's - 7 neurodes Stage 2 - 1750 Credits - 1750 Mutagen Samples - 2500k Plastids - 11250 Nano's - 13 Neurodes Stage 3 - 2500 Credits - 2500 Mutagen Samples - 5k Plastids - 22500k Nano's - 25 Neurodes Stage 4 - 5k Credits - 5k Mutagen Sample - 10k Plastids - 45k Nano's - 50 Neurodes No lIfe Stage - 10k Credits - 10k Mutagen Samples - 20k Plastids - 90k Nano's - 100 Neurodes This is the general idea. Of course, for a 10 person clan, especially those that are a single player, 875 Mutagen is alot. But, its WAY better than 5k Of course, over all resource costs need an adjustment. In general, they are to low, but with spikes of specific resources that are difficult for all but the most dedicated of players. A happy medium needs found for the number.
