Rotations A-B-C etc.

Can someone explain to me what the Rotations A B C etc on survival ,defense and excavation missions mean please?

defense

rot A waves 1-5

rot A waves 5-10

rot B waves 10-15

rot C waves 15-20

it just repeats the pattern of AABC

interception is the same

rot A wave 1

rot A wave 2

rot B wave 3

rot C wave 4

it just repeats the pattern of AABC

excavation is the same as well

AABC for each extractor

Survival

Rot A 5 mins

Rot A 10 mins

Rot B 15 mins

Rot C 20 mins

then repeat AABC

Each rotation have a set of rewards that can drop. That is why people just normally leave at rotation C so they can repeat the mission.

Every five waves/minutes or one excavator or interception round counts as one rotation. And you have two a rotations, then b, then c and then it repeats. So if you go 20 waves of defense you will have two chances at rotation a awards, one for b and one for c.

You say 'mean', so while the above posters explain when they are, you may still be wondering WHAT they are. Rotation A usually includes things like credit caches and common mods, Rotation B uncommon mods and some relics, and Rotation C has things like rare mods, tons of endo, and rarer relics. You will usually find unvaulted relics in Rotation C, for instance.

And of course, the specific rotations are tied to the planets. Rotation A on Hieracon, Pluto is different from what's-its-name Defense on Earth.
