The Saryn Prime jumps off the nikana's handle, giving it a light backwards kick as she does so. The blade easily comes out of the crumbled ground, and flips dangerously through the air before landing straight on back into the frame's sheath. Like a tree bending in a storm, the frame continues through the barrage of energy with eerie calm and grace.

Bladewaves heading for the legs are serenely stepped over. Waves aimed at the torso are spun past. Decapitations are limboed (is that a word?) under. As the Saryn passes by various soldiers on her way to the woman, it calmly picks up a throwing drill in each hand and unerringly hurls them at their heads one at a time, popping a virulent white growth that rapidly engulfs their heads.

Finally standing toe to toe with the woman, the Saryn's left hand brushes down the dakra, the energy glowing within turning a sickly pale color. The right hand strokes it's way up the woman's cloak and towards her face, countless growths making itself know almost immediately. The very air itself begins to feel sick, the particles within being turned into a stew of poison.

Going into a full sprint, the Trinity Prime slides into a crouch before leaping forward. Rather than using her abilites outward at the moment, she channels energy into her fist, the red and black instantaneously vaporizing into pure white as it brings the fist down into a devastating ground pound aimed at the inquisitor's face. (something along the lines of this, minus the running past the speed of sound and leaving scorch marks on the ground as a result. I should get back into DFO some time :s)

The inquisitor takes a step back, hurriedly reloading his pistols. His face was grim - he knew he wouldn't make it out of here alive. Right now he was simply trying to take a few out with him.

As the air around her is turned into a miasmic cauldron, the woman begins to scream and writhe, her flesh being eaten away by the Saryn's attack. The dakra clatters to the ground harmlessly as her fingers sizzle to stumps. Seconds later, she falls silent, and her body slumps to the ground. Other than the occasional involuntary twitch, she made no movements. It was hard to discern if she was still alive or not.

As the Trinity rushes him, the Inquisitor clenches his void-linked hand into a fist. Just as the warframe is about to reach him, an explosion materializes in front of them, burning them and sending them tumbling past him, rather than through him. He shakes his hand vigorously as small fires appear across it, his attention momentarily turned away...

______________

As the ship began to reach the limits of the exosphere, Marcus let himself fall back to the surface. He knew when he wasn't wanted.

"What exactly was your plan there?" Rose asked, her voice in much higher quality now that they were closer

Marcus rolled his eyes.

"Well, I was going to see if they had any wounded, and if they needed any immediate attention, but now I suspect they're fine."

"I'm inclined to agree." Rose said, "So, now what?"

"Well, I could wait for the pull of gravity to bring me back to the surface, critically damaging my warframe and likely placing me miles away from anything important, or you could bring my ship around and pick me up."

Several long seconds passed as Marcus silently stared at distance surface of mars growing ever closer.

"Umm... Rose?" he finally said.

"Yes?" she said innocently.

"Could you please pick me up?"

"Of course. All you had to do was ask politely."

That wasn't entirely fair. Last time they had been in this situation, she had still been getting used to the control of the liset, and he had been dragged back to the surface by gravity. For whatever reason, she got very touchy whenever it was brought up, which he didn't feel was entirely fair - she hadn't been the one to get returned to the planet's 'loving' embrace.

Marcus watched his slate-grey liset prime fly into view, slowing to his speed as it grew near. He grabbed on to the boarding door-slot-rotating thing and stepped inside the ship. Once he was aboard, the ship began to speed back towards the surface. Marcus stepped out of his warframe, walking over to Rose, who was operating the controls.

"Thanks for not letting me hit the ground again." he said with a grin.

She said nothing, giving him a wry look.

The Chroma was a flash. Shards of green and orange flickering off of it as it charged the inquisitor, it's hand gripping tightly on the handle of its katana as void energy continued to build in its throat. It eyed the barrels of the of the Inquisitors Lex's as the explosion between the Trinity and other Inquisitor rippled across the battle field.

The inquisitor let out a roar, firing his pistols. This time they unleashed something akin to void beams, instead of the explosive projectiles from earlier.

"I'm fine," Marcus replied, "Was going to check for wounded, but I guess your friends didn't like that. Ill be arriving back at the battle momentarily. How goes the fight?"

Sticking a heeled boot underneath the blistered remains of the female inquisitor's center mass, the Saryn jacks it straight up into the air. With a spin on the ball of her foot, it flows into a reverse roundhouse kick; sending the female inquisitor straight at the one engaged with the Trinity and whipping the air with a mighty CRACK.

Meanwhile, the Trinity, armor scorched and dented, bangs horizontally into a cluster of soldiers and sending all of them tumbling into a pile on the ground. With an iron grip, the Trinity grabs a soldier face in each hand and binding a third by the neck with it's pseudo-twintails as it menacingly starts to rise, the minions futilely scratching the at the frame as their oxygen completely cut off.

Halfway up, the soldiers start lighting up like decorative lights, green and blue pulsing maniacally as the damage inflicted on the Trinity by the earlier explosion is quickly and visually repairing itself. The soldiers caught in it's grasps begin to bloat and swell, transforming into gelatinous self perpetuating blobs of flesh, what remains of their clothing still dangling off the edges. Turning into a spin, the Trinity pitches one from her hand, then the from her twintails, then the other hand with clear intent at the inquisitor.

7 Meters.
The bolt of void energy slammed against the blade, the energy channeling through it sending the beams scattering like hot coals doused in water. The Chroma continued to charge, energy rippling over it as heat built in its throat.
5 Meters.
Two burning holes seared into the Chroma's helmet, black smoke billowing as void beams collided with its head. But still it kept pace, the blade of its nikana a blur among the haze of rippling void.
3 Meters.
Several shots left blistering scorch marks in the Chroma's chest as it dropped it's blade, putting more energy in closing the gap as let out a deafening roar.
1 Meter.
Sound, Void, Fire, all spewed from the Chroma's throat as it engulfed the Inquisitor, the heat boiling flesh, incinerated the robes,The keys in the mans arms would begin to glow with heat, pain rippling over his body.
But that was something an Inquisitor could handle. No, it wasn't just the heat that was at play, As the fire assaulted the flesh, the keys were bombarded by the void, forced to resonate with a song that wasn't their own; Vibrating, shaking, rattling as small cracks would begin to appear on the golden surface.
If the inquisitor didn't act soon, his keys would shatter and melt.

"if I barely know you, they don't know you at all. That's probably why." Svytoj said as he continued toward the ground. To any hierarchy soldiers below, his silhouette would be clearly visible.

He jammed the barrel of his pistol into the chroma's neck, pulled the trigger, and fell to the ground. His void keys cracked and sizzled, their golden metal flowing down his arms like ichor.

Rose got up from the controls, motioning for Marcus to take over.

"Before you needed me to pull you out of the fire, someone has responded to my attempts to obtain information about those cloaked men and women with void keys. If you'll take over flying, I'd like to follow up on that." Rose said, heading down into the orbiter.

"Alright," Marcus replied, "I'll deal with our new friends."

Marcus steered the ship over the battlefield, noting that by now most of the enemies had been dispatched. He switched on the auto-pilot, reentered his frame and dropped down beside Svytoj.

"I'm back," he said, "Looks like I missed most of the fighting."

The Saryn drops back first to the ground, but not at cost to the Loki: the staff showing immediate signs of corrosion from the impact and the surrounding area quickly filled with a white cloud of ichor and toxin. The charred and burned biometal with electricity still crackling over it is quickly breaking off in chunks, revealing gleaming armor underneath. Despite being temporarily lain low, the Saryn is by no means ripe for the picking; her left hand gliding onto her katana's sheath.

Up above, the two falling figure fall into each other. Feet touching each top to bottom, the top figure kicks the bottom one downards with vigor, Shortly after, a green and white frame descends in the lotus position right into the middle of the mass of soldiers still left, a sphere of white radiating off her. Moments before the second figure falls onto the absorb, a piercing roar tears across the rocky battlefield, the sheer strength of the shout pulling even a few of the deserters back in involuntarily. Claws of white extending out, the Valkyr leaps forward with a bullet jump drilling a hole through the heavens and through a chunk of the Inquisitor soldiers, making a beeline for the Loki.

The Nyx meanwhile, jumps into the air before finally expelling the stored up energy from the freefall, knocking the soldiers weapons out of their hands to their feet, and striking them all violently onto the rock and sand below. As the Trinity runs towards the earlier pair of inquisitors it pulls a gleaming longsword off it's back, faintly visible lines attaching onto various downed soldiers as it sprints forward. Once close enough, it leaps into the air and flips the sword into a reverse grip, before bringing it down into a two handed downward stab at the male inquisitor's keys.

"I'm back," he said, "Looks like I missed most of the fighting."

Rose turned on her terminal, accepting the communications request from the person who had expressed interest in trading her information. As her contacts face appeared on the screen, Rose was surprised to see the unmistakable void scarring of a tenno.

"So, you say that you've run across men who have void keys in their arms." the tenno said. She had neck-length blonde hair, and piercing green eyes that made Rose uncomfortable. Something had been branded across her face in grineer, and angry black tendrils crept up her neck and chin - proof of her exposure to the void.

"That is correct," Rose said, forcing herself to meet this tenno's gaze. "What can you tell me about them?"

"Hold on a second there," the tenno replied, "I just met you - what makes you think I'm going to just hand this information over?"

Rose sighed inwardly. Sometimes it felt like tenno were little more than mercenaries - feeling little compulsion to lend aid unless some form of reward was offered. Marcus excluded, of course. Fortunately, she had anticipated this, and come prepared.

"How about a trade? I've got information on something that I believe you might be very interested in." Rose sent the tenno a couple files - nothing critical, just enough to get her interested.

"A trade? That wasn't quite what I had in mi-" the tenno was saying, but stopped mid sentence when she opened up the files.

"I.... I think we can come to an arrangement." the tenno said, eyes wide with surprise.

Rose felt a small smile grow across her face.

"I'm glad that you feel that way. So, shall we trade?"

The tenno chewed her lip, as if making an excruciating decision. She looked back at something out of view of the camera, and Rose could see uncertainty growing in her eyes.

"I'll also wire you ten thousand credits." Rose sighed. The tenno perked up at that, turned back to the screen.

"Done." The tennis said immediately. Something flashed across her face.... relief? That didn't make any sense though...

Rose shook her head and turned her attention to transferring the money and files. The tenno was a mystery for another day.

As Rose finished her end of the transfer, she looked at the tenno expectantly. With anyone else, she would demand to receive her files first, but the tenno prided themselves on a flawless reputation.

The tenno glanced down at a terminal, nodded once, and sent Rose the information she had requested.

"Well, at least the tenno are brief." Rose thought to herself. Usually trades like these involved hours of haggling.

"Thanks," the tenno said, and closed the comms.

With the negotiations over, Rose opened up the information and began to read...

The Inquisitor doesn't react as it keys are removed - his spine was broken in the earlier collision.

Tendrils shoot out from the Valkyr's arms, lashing out and binding the Loki's horns and staff and yanking both straight into the air. Somersaulting through the air, the Valkyr unfurls into a diving kick, smashing the Loki's torso straight down onto the Saryn's sheathed sword, stealthily placed as it began to pull itself back up. Loki's back is audibly cracked, and the internals between the clawed foot and sword handle popped by the sudden compression.

Jumping off the precariously balanced Loki, the Valkyr flips over it and the Saryn before pulling the Loki after it, casting it overhead and smashing it face first onto the desert floor.

After dragging the channeled dakra through each of the pair of inquisitors' arms and keys, the Trinity passes her reversed blade to her left hand and unholsters one of a pair of revolvers with her right. With calm and precision, it fires a round into each broken key, reloading with it's left hand with barely a pause despite the dakra handle occupying it, a result of countless ages of practice.

After several minute of Svytoj staring at the Chroma, he finally turned his attention to the Loki. As the Loki was forcibly face planted into the dirt, a swift bolt of cold impacted it, causing it to freeze over where it lay.
Who is that Cephalon? Why was it in my warframe? The Frost's unscrambled thoughts seemingly stuck on the subject, even as he entered the fray.

"Leave him alive!" Marcus exclaims, sprinting over to the fallen tenno. "I need to question one of them!"

Rose poured through the documents the tenno had sent her. The tenno had actually been incorporated this 'Hierarchy' at one point - she had given Rose a detailed description of their structure and capabilities, and what she had seen was truly frightening. Men and women capable of wielding the power of the void in their own twisted way, fleets of orokin tower-ships, and large standing army at their disposal.

"Marcus," she said, "You need to see this ASAP."

"In a moment, we have a captive." he said, his audio muted to everyone else

"Wait, seriously?" Rose replied, mentally kicking herself. She'd completely neglected to monitor Marcus' input link in her haste to get some information about these Inquisitors. She hurriedly switched consoles, checking over Marcus' status. Thankfully unchanged. If the engineers at Perennial found out about this...

"Yep. Svytoj froze him, but I'm thinking once he thaws, we interrogate him." he said.

"Understood. I've just received a large amount of intelligence on the organization he works for. I may be able to provide some insight into what the prisoner says."

Marcus was silent for a second.

"You sure you wanna watch this? It's probably going to get pretty messy..."

Rose let out a small laugh. Sometimes Marcus forgot that the tenno weren't the only ones who had to do distasteful things in this conflict.

"This isn't my first rodeo Marcus, I'll be fine."

Another awkward pause.

"Oh. Right." he said sheepishly. "If you're certain...."

"Don't you have a prisoner to start questioning? The trail isn't going to get any warmer..."

Marcus nodded, and un-muted his audio, moving to join up with the other tenno.

"Can someone thaw him out? I need him to answer some questions for me." Marcus said, drawing his lacera. Fortunately, in the sweltering heat, the loki had already begun to revert to his normal state. He tried to rise sluggishly, but Marcus planted a foot on his back, pinning him down.

"Oh no" he laughed, "you aren't going anywhere."

Marcus drew some of the steel-threaded cable coiled in his sword, using it to tie up the loki's hands.

"You should also slice his hamstrings, so he can't run away." Rose said casually into the comms.

"Sometimes I don't know if I should ask that woman out, or move as far away from her as physically possible..."

With a grimace, Marcus slashed the loki's legs. Lightly-armored warframes like loki's tended to rely on mobility, so by crippling his legs, he effectively removed him as a threat.

"If you can understand me, please say as much." Marcus said pleasantly.

"Go to hell," the loki spat.

"Already been there," Marcus said cheerfully, snipping the blades of his lacera together ominously, "Got some pretty sick powers out of it. As did you, I believe."

The loki just laughed.

"You think I'm scared of that? This isn't my body, why the hell would I give a S#&$ about what you do to it?"

Marcus nodded, as if the loki had made an excellent point.

"All the better then, I can make you hurt as much as I want. Not even the tenno are above pain."

The loki just shook his head.

"You just don't get it, do you? The second you start hacking away at this thing, I cut the link. Sure, they'll dock my fume for a day or two, but it'll beat whatever you might do."

"Damn," Marcus said, voice muted, "What now?"

"It's hard to torture information out of a target even when he's not able to disconnect from his body at will. We'll have to find another way to get the intel we need."

Marcus let out a sigh, "I'll ask the others, see if there's anything we can do. Maybe they can prevent his transference from disconnecting or read his mind or something."

"Alright. If nothing they have works, I think I've got one more idea that might work, but I'm very hesitant to try it." Rose replied, glancing back at the dossier she had obtained from the tenno.

Marcus walked over to the other tenno.

"Well S#&$," he said, voice unmuted, "Don't really see how we're going to get our info from him. Anybody got an idea?"

Who is that Cephalon? Why was it in my warframe? The Frost's unscrambled thoughts seemingly stuck on the subject, even as he entered the fray.

"...possibly...", Mia whispers privately to her clanmates and Svytoj, kneeling in front of the Loki's helmet.

"It'll have to be fast and precise, lest they actually cut the link. Probably painful, on multiple levels." The Trinity comments on a private line, forcefully sitting down on the Loki's back and flipping her Dakra over to her right hand and holding it by the tip of the blade. The faintest hints of white, blue, and green radiate off her digits and sword. "Painful will be good."

The Nyx's own hands start glowing white as it extends them above the Loki's helmet. Giving each other a confirming look, both frames plunge upon the Loki's helmet. The Trinity's hands are a blur, the blade cutting open entire chunks of the back of the helmet out, severing, scooping out, and rewiring entire sections of the neuroptics like a surgeon. Streams of red and black spew out, coating the Trinity in viscous fluid.

"...balance, don't need that...movement control, don't need that...pain and pleasure? fuse and amplify...anger capacity, don't need that...vision recognition, don't need that..." No attempt is made to dull the sensations going on in the back; in fact the feelings are amplified even higher, the tiniest micro incision ramped up to the equivalent of getting a limb shaved off by sandpaper.

The Nyx, though not as gory, is being just as thorough. Memories are picked and set apart, left to drift like bubbles floating in the sea. Rather than forcing the information out, anything that wasn't what they needed to know is being clipped away. Birthdays float away, training sessions disappear, parent's embrace fade to black, leaving only the aching feeling that they've forgotten but have know idea what. How to carry a gun, how to efficiently wield a blade, how to run without tripping, all of that are left floating in the abyss.

Finally, both frames also found a key part; the area where the somatic control is regulated and the information needed to manipulate it the frame's mind.

From her mind's eye, The Nyx grabs the essence of the somatic link and ties it off, removing the knowledge of transference entirely from the Loki's mind; for all intents and purposes the Loki has always been, is, and will be a Loki. Like a hummingbird, the Trinity cuts and fuses, rerouting major lines so that the frame itself is in a self induced state of transference surge, the frame incapable of moving but the mind still fully functional, or as functional as allowed.

After all is said and done, the Loki is left looking like a zombie movie regular with the back of his head fully cut open and exposed, innards pulsating haphazardly. Mentally, the Loki still feels perfectly fine, but any attempts to misdirect will unconsciously head back to the required answer.

"...you or the Excalibur can try again if you want..." Mia whispers as the two frames slowly rise, the Trinity shaking fluid off her hands and blade. "Don't worry about them going unconscious, that was removed too. Can't have patients blacking out during operations."

"I'm going to ask you a couple questions now, and I want you to answer as best as you can."

"....Okay...."

"First question: Does the name Claire mean anything to you?"

"...No..."

"Do you know where they're keeping the information from the flight computers?"

"...No..."

"Do you know who might know?"

"...Constable... ...or Field Marshal..."

"Where is this Constable now?"

"...Not sure..."

"What about the Field Marshal?"

"...The ship....."

Marcus looked up towards the orokin tower-ship that was just visible in the sky briefly before turning back to the loki.

"How many of you are there?"

"...A hundred, maybe a hundred fifty..."

"Where are you all being held?"

"...What?..."

"Where are they holding you and the rest of the children?"

"...I don't understand..."

Marcus sighed, turning towards the trinity and nyx.

"I think you broke him."

"It's possible that they're not 'being held'." Svytoj whispered in Marcus's ear. "If he and others have been conditioned to believe in these people, they may not see themselves as prisoners. Try something else: Warframe storage, housing arrangements, maybe even where their 'fume' is being stored."
Svytoj stepped back, continuing to observe the situation.

Lowering down and placing her hands the the Loki's helmet again, the Nyx went for another approach. The past memories are kept disconnected, but the recollections of the only the past week are reattached, albeit with feelings and emotion removed. Passcodes, locations for both in and out of missions, operatives, leaders, but none of the reasons why they shouldn't be told to anyone else. Particularly important changes would be urged to be told and explained.

Marcus steps forward, frowning now.

"...The abbey, they call it. I don't... know... where..."

Marcus turned towards the others.

He stepped forward again.
"This Constable. You said you didn't know where they were. Any idea where they've before? Perhaps other missions they were involved with?"
