[ERROR: DECRYPTION SOFTWARE MALFUNCTION. MESSAGE MAY NOT HAVE BEEN ENCODED PROPERLY.]

[We should have POZJMOBSW that certain members of our organization would balk at the Hierarchy's recent adoption of child-soldiers HGJ the methods used to keep them in-line. Certain elements of all five branches have splintered off, seizing many of our assets. They have sequestered the majority of their forces inside our Inquisitor training facility in the kuiper belt, commonly referred to as NJHTGKSSWCPWG. Among their number is a BLTMGGEG-sect Inquisitor who managed to escape the former High Inquisitor's purge. While reclaiming this facility is a priority, there are more pressing events that demand our immediate attention. Once the conflict on mars is resolved, the necessary KLTLGWCTI will be dispatched to quell this rebellion.]

"...Here..... ...Mars.... ...all.... ...know..." The loki's ability to speak seemed to be deteriorating. Something was tearing apart what little remained of his mind.

Svytoj looked at the Loki for a brief time, thinking.
He stepped forward again.
"This Constable. You said you didn't know where they were. Any idea where they've before? Perhaps other missions they were involved with?"

Wrapping things up quickly, the Trinity cleanly severs the Loki's head with it's longsword. The Nyx reconnected its' inner workings and memories as best it can, while keeping all the emotions and drive locked up. In short, the Loki's helmet will still remember what what it's done, but none of the reasons why. It's also imprinted with a primal desire to volunteer for whatever it takes to bring down it's previous owners.

Meanwhile, the Trinity finishes rewiring the rest of the frame to operate independently of the head. Making sure it's in mostly working order, it starts the headless frame up with a single overriding function: to return to where it came and bring down as many members of the Hierarchy as possible.

Putting the disembodied helmet to Svyto's armsj, the Frost hears quietly in the back of his mind, "...I've patched him up while stripping his loyalty to the Hiearchy as best as I can. Maybe you or Marcus will have better luck pulling details the old fashioned way with time. I'd offer, but I'm worried that I'd easily go overboard with the breaking..."

"Marcus, " Rose asked, "Why are they keeping the loki's severed head?"

"They want it as a trophy maybe? I dunno, I just met these guys."

"Well, maybe we should reconsider our partnership with the- hold on, I've intercepted a improperly-sent transmission. It looks like it was meant to be highly encrypted, but as a result of some sort of interference never got the proper safeguards. Marcus, figure out what the hell they're doing while I intercept this."

"Y'know Rose, sometimes I feel like you get the easier job."

Rose laughed, "Oh, I'm not disputing that. Now, go placate the headhunters while I read someone's email."

Marcus reactivated his vocal cords and turned to where the cloaked tenno had handed Svytoj the Loki head. The sand constantly blowing through the air was making it rather easy to spot her. He debated telling the nyx, but decided to wait until he had confirmed they weren't a bizarre cult of tenno who adorned their ships with body parts or something.

"Alright, so I have to ask, why are we keeping the head?"

A greenish blue Scimitar passed through the atmosphere of Mars with expert precision, managing to minimize reentry heating. It glided in the direction of Deadwood, engines on low power.

"I want that ship in orbit around Phobos ASAP... I'm currently retrieving the target..."

It landed about a kilometer away from Deadwood, activating scanner cloaking to prevent scavengers from stumbling upon it too easily.

"Commencing search for TA-02..."

"Marcus," Rose said, "I've finished deciphering the message. There's been a split in the Hierarchy ranks. We can take advantage of this turmoil in their command if we're quick enough. That Loki gave us two people who might know where they're storing the flight computer data; the Constable and the Field Marshal. If we move quickly, we can probably find and interrogate them before the Hierarchy figure out what we're after. We should head to Deadwood and begin to quietly collect information."

"And the others?"

"If they agree to help us, they should go to some of the other settlements and search for signs of the Hierarchy there."

"Alright, I'll see what they say." Marcus said, looking at Svytoj.

"Alright Svytoj, looks like the rest of your cell is here. We'll need to split up and search the surrounding settlements for any signs of the people that Loki mentioned." Marcus turned towards Mia. "Can I count on your help?"

On their own private clan comms, Lily replies as she reattaches her sword back on to her hip: "Florence and l will head back first and finish packing~"

"Not to mention that Ms. Calamity still thinks her parents are waiting for her~" Aria muses, pulling off some stretches. "Gotta bring her back home first~"

Up in the sky, a low roar is making an approach towards the group.

"We'll see you in a bit, dear~" The Saryn and Trinity turn around begin walking back towards the direction of Deadwood. "Try to stay safe now~" Simultaneously, the pair bullet jump into the open sky before being scooped up by the opened hangers of their orbiters before fading from sight and sound.

"Looks like my ride is here too~" The Valkyr looks up towards the clouds. "I'll catch up with you after dropping Jane off-" The Valkyr raises an arm in a hitchhiking motion, before getting splattered by a Scimitar flying centimeters above the ground, going of in another direction.

On the public comms, a feminine voice could be heard shouting "WAAAAAAHOOOOOOOO!!"

Now the only frame left in groundside, the Nyx doesn't give Marcus a vocal reply to either the allowed shape being shown in the wind or the question being asked. Instead a line of text bursts into his HUD. [...we're in...]

Svytoj Gave a firm nod, Still holding on the the severed head.
"It's part of why I came here in the first place." He said. He began looking over the Loki's head; if this person had been working with the Hierarchy, perhaps how it was constructed would provide some information on the groups operations.
He began playing the message over in his head, trying to figure out what the scrambled words said.

(I presume the blowing sand's not your typical breeze if it's enough to reveal a transparent humanoid shape with no trouble?)

[...Mia...] flashes on the Excalibur's HUD, a bands of void flickers upon shaking the Excalibur's hand. As quickly as it came, the hand fades back to transparency as the whole shape leaps into the air and out of easy visual sight, with not even the sounds of footprints breaking the sounds of the rocky desert.

((I haven't really had opportunity to bring it up yet, but Marcus can take in a ridiculous amount of visual data. The winds aren't strong enough to entirely outline Mia, but enough to provide Marcus with her rough location.))

Marcus leaped into the air, grabbing onto the handles of the revolving entryway and holding himself in place while it spun inside the ship.

"Deadwood?" Rose asked, piloting the ship as they sped towards the settlement.

"Yep." Marcus said, "The others will hit the settlements of Tombstone and Dodge."

"Let's hope we can trust them. Oh, by the way, the tenno named Mia? She can read minds."

"What!?" Marcus exclaimed, "How do you know that?"

Rose pointed her thumb at the terminal behind her. "It's all in this treasure trove of information I purchased from another tenno who had witnessed the events. I'll need some time to read through everything, but what I've read so far has been a godsend. As for Mia, We can use the input link to hide your thoughts, but I won't be able to monitor the modifications to your frame through at all."

"Damn," Marcus said, "Well, it'll give you some time to look through that intel anyway."

"You sure you'll be alright without your upgrades?" she asked.

Marcus chuckled. "Don't worry, I've done this kind of stuff before. I can handle whatever they might throw at me."

"Graveyards are full of boys who were very young and very confident." Rose said, "Isn't that from that movie you're always trying to get me to watch?"

"That's not even how that line goes!" Marcus laughed, "It's very young and very proud. And fortunately, I am the very model of humility! Not once have I ever bragged about being a badass millennia-old space ninja who helped save the system from an army of robots."

"You're hopeless, you know that?" Rose groused, but a smile was creeping across her face.

"Oh absolutely." Marcus said cheerfully as the ship began to slow to a stop. The town of Deadwood was visible beneath them, and growing closer and closer.

"Just try not to catch too many bullets while your down there." Rose said dryly, "Even if you deserve them."

Marcus gave a mock-salute, and lowered himself back into the revolving door. Moments later, a grey-blue form fell towards the surface.

And with Marcus gone, Rose could begin her real work. She had flown the ship into high orbit, so that the nyx wouldn't be able to hear her thoughts. It would be.... troublesome... if they knew what she was up to.

[As I warned, the tenno are pursuing the Constable.] she typed, constantly glancing back towards the revolving door, even though there was no way he could logically return to the ship without asking her to bring it around. Still, she couldn't shake the nagging suspicion that she was being watched.

[Assuming that you took my advice and relocated him to Dodge, you should avoid the bulk of the tenno forces. That said, they are still sending operatives to the other settlements, so expect a fight. I will keep the you informed of the situation as frequently as possible, but understand that my position makes it difficult to send reports regularly. - Trebuchet.]

Rose sent the message through her network, knowing that it would ensure that her message was virtually untraceable. The Hierarchy had expressed displeasure about the extra time it took for her messages to get to them, but Rose wasn't taking any chance that the tenno might connect them back to her. They were a 'shoot first and ask questions later' kind of people, and she did not want to find herself staring down their blades.

"Now," Rose said to herself, turning towards a different console. "Let's see what else Sarah has to say about my... employers..."

"Let's see what else Sarah has to say about my employers..."

Svytoj dragged the inactive Chroma towards his Xiphos as it landed. he tossed the Loki's severed head into the ship, shortly followed by the Chroma. He hopped inside as the Xiphos made its way towards dead wood. As the sand below rolled by, Svytoj began to examine the Chroma, trying to determine exactly what had been piloting it. He looked over the roster of previous users; perhaps it would give a clue as to who this individual was.
But he found nothing: The only two people on the roster were Svytoj and Chegar, with Svytoj being the last entry.
That doesn't make sense... He thought as he shoved the Warframe back into storage. He turned his attention to the Hierarchy transmissions, working his way down the list of cipher keys.
123,124,125,126... So far, no results.
"{Okay, you two. Aside from Deadwood, There are two other settlements that we should look into. Whatever one you don't take, I'll go to. Which one piques you interest?}" Svytoj asked Mia and Aria over the Comms.
